I’ve been using TPGs for years and really rate them. Their prices are fair, they’re extremely knowledgable and experienced mechanics and always helpful, (as well as being nice guys). Plus, I don’t know another workshop with a harbour side view as good as theirs. Great for a mooch around if you’re waiting for them to do a little job, otherwise, there’s two cafés nearby. The 700 bus stops almost right outside and Southwick train station is just across the road. Couldn’t be easier for dropping off and collecting bikes.

TPG Motorcycles seems a little lost as bike dealers go. It has the distinct feel of a fledgling business run by old hands. The shop seems clean and more like an attempts to follow the styling of the bigger, glossier, check book biker dealers like P and H in Crawley than your average independent. But it clearly doesn’t have the budget behind it as there is little in the way of stock and the bikes seem to be a miss match of second hand machines (with a good couple of classics in there). It’s not all bad though repair prices are reasonable, with a puncture repair at twelve pounds, and they seem to be a helpful bunch of people happy to talk to me despite the fact that I didn’t need to buy anything. This could be a great local shop with a bit time and it’s much easier to access than the city centre shops.
