Amphora Aromatics

My review is referring to the products bought online as sadly I don’t live near to shop, if I did I would probably have bought everything in it!
I became a convert only earlier this year when i was bought a small gift set for Christmas containing a lovely Lemon lip balm and the barrier cream. Well believe you and me from someone who was daft enough to spend years buying Crème de la Mer plus many other expensive creams and gels I just loved the AA products.
I have since purchased loads of different face products and love every single one, even my husband who has a few skin problems uses the lavender and tea tree face wash and moisturiser. A super product is the seaweed and aloe eye gel that not only soothes and cools your eyes but is without doubt one of the best eye make-​up removers on the market.
Every product smells wonderful (maybe not so much the aloe Vera moisturiser as it’s very earthy) but knowing that everything is natural is a big plus.
I have just received my latest order and have purchased a few of the lovely ‘face the day’ gift sets for Christmas presents for my friends, I am even thinking of buying the large full gift set box as a Christmas present for myself!

There is a grocery shop not far from my house where something inside smells of my grandmother’s kitchen from when I grew up. I can’t put my finger on it but it sends memories hurtling back. Freshly cut grass, lemon juice and petrol the same — the power of scent, I’m sure you’ll agree, is very powerful indeed.
This is a shop that is part of a huge worldwide service of providing healing and caring through the medium of scent. From tinctures to candles to incense, the wealth of information available in this shop is astounding. It is a shop based around healing, organically and with love. There are so many good reasons to go here so you should just go now!
It’s not too expensive either… perfect!

Coming from a gypsy family I have an inherent love of all things magic and potions. I first went in this shop for research to compare ancient and modern remedies. The staff knew their stuff– from love potions to why the scent of peach is a good fat-​buster. Possibly the most interesting shop on Cotham Hill, I have come back again and again for the more unusual oils and aromatherapy treatments which are hard to come by. With an array of candles, bath salts, massage oils and soaps this shop is essential those who want a quick burst of aroma energy or to indulge in potion galore.

Growing up in a house hold where Mum consulted «the big book of herbal remedies» before we made a trip to the doctors, means I know my fair share about how to treat ailments with oils. Feeling stressed? Try some Lavender drops. Sore throat? You’ll need sage! And the place I like to go to indulge my passion for the alternative is Amphora.
But it’s not just essential oils they stock. They also have Henna hair dyes, soaps, candles, incense and magazines on the subject. Luckily, the staff are extremely knowledgeable about their products, so if you need advise on anything they sell they’ll be more than happy to help. Their prices are also extremely reasonable given they’re the only specialist shop in Clifton.
