Dropped in last night for some special fried rice or similar. Ended up getting the dim sum fried rice(with sauce). This turned out to be egg fried rice with a separate box of stuff that you’d usually get on top and some, with sauce. All for 5 pounds. Yum yum yum. I will be buying this again.

I nice little Chinese resteraunt in Bedminster, more than any chinese I would say this one likes to promote it’s noodle dishes, which I have to say is something I don’t usually go for when I have a Chinese takeaway. The sweet and sour sauce is nice so I am always happy when I can find somewhere that will serve my stadard choice dish and for it to taste good. It doesn’t get that busy so you don’t have to worry about beating the crowds, but if you want to be in and out in a matter of seconds ring ahead and they will prepare your food so it is ready when you arrive.

While most Chinese take aways are much of a muchness, this one stands out for two reasons, in my mind. Firstly, their crispy duck and pancakes is absolutely superb, and is a great way to feed a group of people, provided you get enough of it. Secondly, it is family run, and all of the family speak absolutely perfect English, so there are none of the pesky communication errors which can so often occur in these situations. They also have really good prawn crackers, so much so that I sometimes go in just for a bag of them, rather than a meal. Be aware though, their fried rice isn’t up to much. There is very little oil in it, so it’s basically boiled rice with egg, which is probably healthier, but is very tasteless, and no one goes to a Chinese restaurant for healthy food, do they? You get complimentary fortune cookies with your order, which is nice, but the prices are slightly higher than average, so frankly it’s no more than you’d expect.
