Ellis Brigham falls into a long line of over priced ski and snow board shops that as a rule don’t stock the really good quality equipment. In that long line it is better than most but certainly not the best. It caters to most of your snow sport needs although lacks depth in the mountaineering area.
If you are going abroad– wait until you get there to splash your cash. If you are going to use you kit in the UK then you could do much worse than shopping here.

Well get your ass down to EB and prepare yourself for a world of mountain climbing, snow boarding, extreme camping and many more activities. Yes the price is on the high end, yes you will probably only use your purchase the once, and yes you will probably feel silly during your outdoor experience… but thats not the point! You are fully prepared, and kitted out to what ever mother nature may throw at you… NOW go see what you can throw at her!

Ellis Brigham can be found on the steeper part of Whiteladies Road and just a few doors down from it’s rival mountain sport shop, The Snowboard Asylum. It’s slightly less appealing from the outside, compared to it’s lime green competitor, but inside is just as packed with essential items one might need on a winter sports holiday.
Like all sport shops (especially winter sports shops) this retailer is very expensive, due to the nature of specialist items they sell. The staff are really knowledgeable though, and can help you find the perfect gear for you.

Ellis Brigham is a clothing and equipment shop dedicated to ice and mountain sports. This branch on Blackboy Hill stocks all the mainstream items, from warm clothing to snowboards and rucksacks. This is an expensive hobby– most of the larger vital items will set you back at least £100. The staff are very knowledgeable though, and will be able to advise the right equipment and take you through various options and makes. I was generally service and efficiency of the shop — the item I brought needed to be refunded a few days later and there were no problems with returning it or getting the money back.
