A very worthy charity, this shop has the benefit of sitting right in the middle of East Street, great for catching shoppers walking past. Unfortunately the team here don’t make enough of their large shop windows but don’t let this put you off going in for a browse. The £2−3 rails at the front of the shop are worth a look and I think this place is great for creative people — there aren’t that many good quality clothes but if you enjoy customising your clothes to give them a new lease of life then you could certainly do that here. There is also a large rail full of curtains and fabric — great if you want to make your own clothes or home furnishings.

The staff here are nice and friendly and the clothes are quite spread out so its easier to move around than some of the other charity shops in the area. It does have a changing room in the middle of the store which has a curtain rail, I’m always convinced people can see me changing, if I can see out, surely other people can see in! Luckily I’m not an overly modest person ;-) Unlike some of the other charity shops it tends to have a fairly standard range of high street clothes. It does stock a good bit of primark clothes, I don’t really like paying almost the same price for a 2nd hand item that I would if I bought it new in Primark. Then again, that’s probably saying a bit more about how Primark are able to sell their stuff so riduculously cheaply. I have found a few bits and pieces here, trousers and books at very reasonable prices. There was a lovely black dress from River Island in there last week selling for under a fiver, when you consider how much you pay for high street prices, you can find some cheap gems here.

I love charity shops, as many of my previous charity shop revies would probably have stated. I visit this particular Scope quite often as it is relativley near to me. I popped in the other day and picked up a great jumper for £3! baragin. The DVD selection in this store is pretty good as well, worth a browse through for a hidden gem, or for a bit of entertainment on a saturday that features no plans in the diary. Friendly staff, spacious fitting rooms… what more could you want?

Scope is a charity concerned with raising money for people suffering with cerebral palsy. The charity’s shop on East Street is definitely the most structured charity shop in the area. Everything has its place here, and clothes are even hung in terms of their colour co-ordination. The shop tends to sell a range of household goods, ornaments, books and videos, in addition to copious amounts of shoes and clothes. Staff here are friendly and hospitable.

Scope is a UK disability organisation whose focus is on people with cerebral palsy. One of the best charity shops in the Bedminster high street, with space for a lot of clothes and bric a brac. Although you won’t find anything of fashion in here all items are of a very good quality.
