This pub has a great beer garden which includes a couple of ‘Wendy Houses’ which children were happily playing in on the sunny Sunday I visited. There’s plenty of tables too. The vibe of this pub is friendly and relaxed, and dogs are welcome. Well it is called the lazy dog after all. It would be rude to leave them out. There is a good choice of beers, and cider, and if you order water, you’ll get a delicious fruit medley added to it to brighten up your day. i was visiting for Sunday lunch which is around £10. I had the roast beef, and my friend opted for the vegetarian option, which she said was delicious. My roast was tasty, however I prefer my beef to be medium/rare, and certainly pink, so this was more well done than I’d prefer. However, saying that the vegetables were crisp and delicious and it was an enjoyable meal.

Ive been to this place a few times recently and each time I always leave with a smile on my face. And much lighter wallett. This Lazy Dog has come along way in the last few years. It used to be a proper spit and saw dust place. Where kids from the college would congregate to smoke rollies and spit on the floor. Lovely ! Unfortunately for the college oiks this place had a considerable face lift. And has decided to target a different clientele. The décor inside is pleasent but maybe a little dark. But the beauty of this place is its lovely back garden. Its absolutely perfect for topping up or chilling out on a sunny sunday. They also do some pretty decent grub. Ive had a beef roast here which was excellent. Lovely meet massive tasty yorkshire pud and tons of gravy and veg. Its litterally making me salivate just writting this ! If you dont happen to be there on a Sunday dont despair as they have a great bar menu. Including some very tasty burgers. The bar is also very well stocked. The only thing that stops me giving this a 5 star is the price of a beer is rather steep. Not much change out of a fiver for a pint of lager. But at least at these prices it keeps the rif raf out ! What what !
