Located in the in Castleview area of Caerphilly, the Castle Gate Indian restaurant is a local favourite of many. Serving up a variety of Indian food at reasonable prices, this restaurant has everything you would expect from a curry house: great, spicy Indian dishes; decent Indian music; and superb, authentically crisp, Indian beer.
The high standards of this restaurant have twice earned it a place in the Top 100 Indian restaurants in the UK and, if you’ve been there, you can easily understand why. It’s an ideal place to go with a group of friends, a partner or the whole family, be it a birthday, anniversary celebrations or just a random night out.
Although be warned. Some dishes sound a lot alike and you can make the mistake of ordering the wrong one, as I previously found out. Four beers later and my tongue was still on fire. Lesson learned.
