Dunbar Costumes is a fancy dress shop found right at the top of Caerphilly town. With a wide selection of various weird and wonderful fancy dress, you are guaranteed to find something to wear for a theme party or a night out.
Ranging from your average cowboy and gangster costumes to more specialist dress-​codes like Ninja Turtles or Little Britain, if you’re after a specific outfit, there’s more than a good chance they will have it at Dunbar. Having been part of many last minute fancy dress nights out in the past, Dunbar has been a life saver on more than one occasion.
With two floors full of masks, wigs, suits and accessories, it’s hard to leave the shop empty handed. Although I do recommend trying on the item before leaving the shop… it’s not a mistake you make twice.

This is the most amazing fancy dress costume store ever situated over 2 floors in a road near Caerphilly railway station… easy to reach from Cardiff if you have no transport of your own. The shop is full to brimming with costumes for all ages and sizes both male and female. They have individual costumes eg super heroes or fancy dress party themes such as a pirates party or 50s party etc. I particularly liked the Egyptiain princess outfit at £19.99 and am thinking about what excuse I can come up with to host a party! As well as costumes the shop also has all the accessories to make the finished look complete, wigs, stockings gloves hats etc. The shop also operates a great web site which covers every costume imaginable.

This is a brilliant fancy dress shop that is stocked full of great costumes. There are costumes in there to suit all ages, genders and sizes. They stock some of the best brands of costumes such as Leg Avenue and Smiffys. Its not just costumes that they sell they also sell accessories to go with them like wigs and stockings. The stockings are displayed by the counter and so is a small selection of shoes to go with the outfits. The types of costumes vary a lot from ghost busters to nurses. It all depends on the style you are after. The prices in here are very reasonable and a lot cheaper then some of the other fancy dress shops I have been in. They also have a website which is really good so if I want something I normally look around the site first then ask for it in the shop. You will find something for every occasion in there and there are costumes in there to suit everyone.

A deceptively large shop full to the brim with fabulous costumes and accessories. All the latest must have costumes and needs for Hen/​Stag parties and celebrations. Really friendly, helpfull staff. The girl who sorted out our costumes earlier this year was more than helpful and informative. It was her first day yet she went out of her way to help with our orders for umpteen cowboy outfits and an indian squaw costume for the poor groom to be. Completed his costume with a wig of black braided plaits — great! The high quality Woody costume for father of the groom was awesome… expensive but plenty of offers to purchase after the event! No more expensive than anywhere else and the upstairs room is an unexpected bonus — packed to the brim with costumes etc., Highly recommended.

this shop is an aladins cave for the fancy dresser. parties, competitions or just plain fun. they stock an amazing variety of novelties and props as well as costumes. they have a great website. and prices range from lower to high depending on the extravagence of the cossie. or just go in and get some cool tips.

This is a pantomime under one roof, you can get anything you like from Little Britain to the Wizard of Oz it really is great.
The pricing is reasonable and you could spend all day just deciding what to select
