Bellini’s Express

Get on the mailing list TODAY for, every month or so, Bellini’s actually give away meals. That’s right. Be one of the first thirty people to fill in an online form and they’ll give you and a friend any pasta or pizza dish from the menu.
The only catch is… no? I’ve tried very hard and completely rattled my brains but I can’t for the life of me work out the negative side. This is fresh, quality food served in a pleasant and convenient environment. You might, however, want to repay them for their kindness by ordering something a little different to my usual tap water.
Feel free to customise your order as well. Because all orders are cooked just for you, they will happily substitute chicken for mushrooms. This is especially handy for divaish vegetarians like me who choose to make a scene by ordering a meaty option purely for the opportunity to change it.

Ok, so let me be honest with you first, I hate italian food, well not so much hate it but it is the last cuisine of choice on my list down there with pet food, as I just don’t see the point in paying good money for pizza and pasta that isn’t that much more special than what you can purchase. I find eating a dish consisting of mainly one thing dull, so this place was never going to stand much of a chance with me.
The reason that I went to this restaurant was that they do this insane offer where you can get a pizza or pasta dish completely for free for two people! if you are on their mailing list and are quick enough then you can book this offer online through their website. I ordered a sausage pasta dish and my partner ordered a lobster pasta dish, both of these would have come to £25, so as much as I didn’t think my pasta dish was the most exciting thing ever, it filled a whole and was pretty good as Italian food goes.
Slight hiccup at the end where they messed up the bill 4 times, but we were not charged a service charge for the drinks that we did have to pay for, so everyone was a winner.

Went there again this Sunday and I want to say a big thank you to Marcello our waiter. He really made us all laugh and made the meal even more enjoyable. This is how service should be.

I seem to be the only person whose had a bad experience at the Bellini’s in Cardiff Bay so I was really hoping I’d be able to be possessive about this one. Unfortunately adding the word Express to the name doesn’t mean the food will come any faster, in fact mine took ages!
