Anyone who has even cast a cursory glance in the direction of Crwys Road knows that the street is absolutely awash in takeaways of all kinds. They’ve got kebabs and pizzas aplenty. They’ve got chippies and burgers galore. Chinese takeaways? There’s about twenty. But who cares? No big deal. They are still going to build more. But none of them; none of them what so ever can possibly ever scale the heights of mediocrity that the Caspian has reached. Honestly; on a street as saturated with takeaways as Crwys Road, they have somehow managed to become unique in their blandness. And maybe that’s their major success. Whilst everyone has a favourite takeaway(and none of them is ever the Caspian), everyone has about eighteen of their most hated takeaways(and none of them is ever the Caspian), so as a result people amble past the Caspian and think«I’ve heard nothing bad about them. Let’s give it a shot.» They leave neither delighted nor disappointed. They simply eat the food and move on. And that’s what the Caspian does. Average food, average prices. There’s little else to say. Go here if there are lots of you, and you’re all arguing. I guarantee no one will object to the place. (Guarantees actually guarantee nothing).

The Caspian is a Kebab and pizza shop that relies on the student population to keep afloat. I’ve not been impressed by there pizzas but they do a mean kebab. Other products include fried chicken, fries and burgers. The Caspian doesn’t stand out from the crowd of these shops that line Crwys road. But £2.99 for a medium pizza is a bargain, but the quality just isn’t there.
