Face 11

I always feel as though there is too much month for my money when attempting to eat healthy throughout the week. Especially when I have Greggs situated opposite my office tempting me with sausage rolls and pasties for less than £1!
I’ve visited most who claim to offer healthy alternatives yet I almost always leave still feeling hungry and poor.
Cue Face 11. An independent restaurant and bar located just outside Cardiff Central in the heart of Cathays.
The menu here is almost ALL healthy yet for those who like myself are on a strict summertime diet, pick something from their Paleo menu! 100% natural, no additives, no preservatives. Nothing that a caveman wouldn’t have been able to source prior to riding his woolly mammoth back to his cave.
I tried the Chicken Wrap:
Chilli Chicken with Salad rolled in an egg-​white wrap.
At first I was slightly dubious about egg white replacing my beloved thin doughy wrap yet it was insanely delicious alternative! What’s more the portions aren’t small and the prices aren’t ridiculous.
I also tried one of their protein shakes which tasted somewhat like a dessert and left me not wanting to order their Belgian Waffles and Ice Cream. — okay, maybe I still wanted a tiny bite of their waffles.
… definitely worth a guilt-​free visit.
