Tortilla

I would say that Tortilla is more 3.5 stars but does enough for me to warrant the bumping the 4. I came here today for lunch and I left satisfied with my meal and extremely full!
~ Atmosphere:
It’s not a large shop so I can imagine it would fill up quickly during peak times. If anyone has been to America, it’s reminiscent of Chipotle (which was the love of my life when I lived in California) in its style; a serving counter like Subway where you pick and choose what you want in your burrito! Another positive is that they do keep the place decent clean and the location is great as well.
~ Customer Service:
Really friendly and super efficient with their service as well. You really can’t fault the service here.
~ Food:
Not bad although I would say that it’s a little bit lower quality than what I’ve had at Chipotle (seeing as this place is a direct comparison as it’s of a similar style). The meat itself was really tasty and apparently they marinate their Barbacoa beef for 48 hours before actually cooking it; it really shows in the flavour! They don’t skimp on portions either as their burritos are massively packed like a true Mission-​style burrito from back home in California. And like all places… yes guac costs extra.
Only downsides is that I feel the burrito wasn’t hot enough. It was served quite lukewarm to the point where some of the cheese inside hasn’t even melted properly yet. Also, their sour cream was a bit too watery for my taste.

The flavours were definitely there but there were just enough faults that Tortilla isn’t perfect. I’m still in search of a proper Mission-​style burrito I would find back home in San Francisco. However, I’m still really happy that I’ve found a place that would satisfy my cravings for California-​Mexican fusion food when I need it!

Having eaten so many tortillas in so many places now, I barely was able to finish the meal.
We ordered a burritos, a queso nachos and a tris of tortillas.
The latter once stick on a metal grid became cold straight away.
The burritos was having black beans in a kind of jelly sauce.
No way. We had stomach ache all night.
