The Keep is a gorgeous guesthouse just outside the centre of Carrickfergus.
I had known it was there for years and hadn’t really given it much thought, until about a year ago when I was inside due to meeting with visiting friends from England who were staying there.
It is so modern and tastefully decorated inside, and the couple who own it are super friendly, and my friends told me that they really went out of their way to help them, even giving them a lift into Belfast to see a show at the opera house when their taxi failed to turn up!
Each room has a large flat screen TV and DVD player, and the bathrooms have power showers — and as mentioned, the décor is outstanding. No run of the mill generics here!
If you are on business, or even just a net junkie, they have free wifi throughout.
It only costs £25 per person sharing, and this includes a full cooked breakfast.
This guesthouse would be absolutely perfect for anyone visiting Carrickfergus, or Belfast, which is only a short 15 minute drive from here.
