Cheap and hearty food! Great place to take the kids and have a coffee or a bite to eat in peace! Can be a bit manic just after schools finish! Some of the deserts are lovely! They hold themed nights through the week like curry nights, fish and chip nights etc! Nice view of the harbour and there Are tables outside to sit when the weather is good for a tipple!

As said on other reviews the food can be really hit and miss in here. It’s really cheap, but some of the food definitely reflects this. The bbq chicken melt is tasty!!! Their buffet specials are good, plenty of choice and eat as much as you like. The choc fudge cake is amazing, worth going for one of these and a cappuccino! There’s a kids play area at one side, kids running about everywhere so if you have some with you up that end is handy as they can go on in, but if you aren’t too fussed on kids or the noise best place to sit is probably the opposite end. Called in one night and there was a pub quiz on, the atmosphere was fab and we won a bottle of wine! The drink isn’t expensive especially considering the location on the harbour. Beautiful on a summers day.

Great place to take kids and relax … Food can be hit or miss at times but the location and fact that it is family friendly makes up for it.

Cheap and cheerful. you know what you’re getting. This one has a giant jungle Jim that’s free for kids. Coffee is a bit expensive for it being a self serve machine, but it’s Costa and is unlimited. Deserts are nice. chips are rotten.

Loads of parking, nice quiet place to eat, food is pub food standard. More than happy for the price I paid. Nice for a burger and pint before a walk around the harbour.

Got a brewers fayre burger and chips which came with coleslaw. The burger came and there was no cutlery on the tables and I waited 5 minutes to get a knife and fork, the burger was a nice taste although I got a bit of gristle which is a big no no for me lol, the patty was thick but the fillings in the burger were lacking, 1 shred of lettuce, a slice of onion and a slice of tomato, the burger had a burger sauce in it which I wasn’t keen on, the bun was also too small for the burger, the chips were nice but only had about 10 chips on the plate I liked the coleslaw but there was literally a spoonful of coleslaw on the plate which they seemed to had spread out to make it look like more, food was your usual pub grub, was ok. Nice location to go out on the harbour and have a wee walk round after. Would go back again but I would try another dish.

This is place is great if you want quick, pub grub. Ok it’s not gourmet but it is cheap and quick, without the nasty. |The ydo a 2 main courses for a Tenner deal and desert i think only costs £1.00 each more. There is alos a family deal, whic hif I rember was 2 courses for 2 adults for £20.00 it might even have been £15 but don’t quote me. They offer bottomless drinks for a set price with unlimited refils on both hot and cold beverages. They have buffet nights such as mexican, indian and chinese which I havent sampled yet. It is light and airy inside and best of all, there is a soft play area for the kids. I cant fault it all, staff are efficient and pleasant, you simply take your table no: and order to the bar and pay when you order, then yhour food is brought to you.

I love this place! The Brewers Fayre is a fantastic family orientated restaurant! Its really quite big so you don’t feel like your sitting on top of one another and the décor may be a little dated but not in a grubby way, more homely. The menu is really big offering a whole range of things from pie to wraps, burgers to pasta. They operate much in the same way as whetherspoons(ie. take note of your table number and order and pay for your food at the bar) but the food is much more upmarket than good old spoons! The portions are big and the food really nice. I got the cottage pie which came with peas and it was lovely. Really full of flavour and although I was hoping for extra mash on the side, I didn’t really need it as it was really filling. The main attraction here for families is that at the back pf the restaurant they have a play area, not just a kids table with games but a full on adventure land thing. When I was there it was full of families and this certainly had to have been why. The prices are cheap and the food good. Topped with great service its a must. The only downside I found was that I couldn’t fit my pram into the baby room and put down the change table as it is a tight squeeze, but not a big complaint but as I was on my own it was tricky.
