Running Mare

Nothing special. Located on a nice green in Cobham just outside of the village itself. Decent beers on tap and wines. Food was average at best. You can certainly find better if you look around.

For a local pub — you not getting pub food — the food is very good and you get a good amount on your plate.
The Burgers are a must — apparently hand made from surrey beef or so I was told by management is almost as good as «Gourmet Burger Kitchen» and sometimes better — As you can see I have had a few.
Sunday Roast — well they are genuine Sunday Roasts — I have been to a few establishments that claim they serve sunday roasts but Running Mare’s are very very good and value for money regarding quality.
Basically it’s always busy and I always book before I go. Also they don’t serve food all day long — learned my lesson on this, when chef leaves and you havent finished your mains — don’t bother asking for dessert as he has left the building?!
I have been to Running Mare many times and it’s always been a pleasure and food is always good — Keep it up.
*They serve real ales as well as commercial chemical beers (largers)
*Ample parking at the rear

One of the best menus in Cobham and surrounding area.
If you haven’t had the Sunday Roast it has to be tried, thick cut Beef, properly cooked and fantastic flavours every time.
