Went for a family meal, about 16 of us so we got out in the side section kept separate for us which I thought was great. A few steps down to the area which allowed the toddlers to wander without interrupting any if the other customers.
3 course Christmas meal was good. The pâté starter was a bit dry & not much flavour but the other starters looked great. The turkey & gammon dinner was great. Loads of meat & crispy roasties with selection of veg brought separately. Dessert was raspberry roulade, lovely taste.
The bar area has the usual selection of beers/​wines/​soft drinks etc. The pub also dog friendly. Lots if parking available. Good service. Good pub.

This bar/​restaurant offers a friendly atmosphere for those stopping in Congleton from the station and also to the regulars. The food is good and the drinks available are also very good.
Is becoming known for having a very popular pub quiz every Thursday night and also is great for watching the football and other sports.

A nice, friendly pub with great staff, very reasonably priced food and the best quiz night in Congleton (every Thursday). Not only do you get a good old-​fashioned pub quiz, you also get three additional games: Chase The Ace, Card Bingo and Play Your Cards Right. A great night out!
