This used to be a traditional two bar small Banks’s pub and actually not sure I like the change. However being forced in by a deluge I was shocked to find the inside had been totally ripped out and expanded. Its very modern and comfortable inside, lots of TV’s !!! Good range of the recognisable real ales at a very decent price £2 for a pint of Cumberland. Place is very popular. Large seating area at rear.

Much better now because of the smoking ban! My god I went in there one night and knew exactly how a kipper feels. Anyway — its a nice friendly local that has regular singalongs with a piano/​keyboard player. If thats to your liking then you will love this place. Bank’s beer served, so good prices too.
