Had to buy a replacement american fridge freezer on tuesday at the last moment, i dreaded shopping for one but found the salesman Nick in this store to be really helpful and nice to deal with, he didnt try and confuse me with all tech talk and explained really well about the item, giving me a great price and also giving me the whatever happens explaining fully the cover i would get, that was tuesday afternoon at 4pm my fridge freezer arrived 8.30am thursday morning, that’s fast! I was really delighted with the service i got from Nick in Currys, I will happily go back for the new hoover i need today, thanks Nick, your a great asset to Curry’s.

Bought a 22″ lcd TV last november, the sound kept cutting off intermittantely, went for repair in July, came back a week a later with same problem, took tv back onced more, second repair came back same problem but this time tv was scuffed, finally replaced tv for different model and after 3 months of calls.

Unfortunately, absolutely terrible. I bought a whole load of new things for my flat here, including a range of white goods, vaccum cleaner and microwave. Firstly, the delivery dates were changed so many times, without me always being told (had to wait in on a Sunday all day without being contacted at one point) that the goods were eventually upgraded to those that were in stock (though did appreciate the manager there when he stepped in). Then it turned out that the cooker hood was missing a part — had to be replaced. And yet again, the hob ordered was the wrong kind for modern flats — despite their knowledge of the laws against this. The phoneline would not deal with this, or even give me the local store number. Have to go in AGAIN. Manager helpful, but so many errors, could not reccommend this store!

Run by the same company as pc world. I went with a friend who had bought a laptop when there was a special software offer included which was why she went there. She assumed the software package was preinstalled and it wasn’t. We took the laptop back with the receipt and astoundingly said that because she did’t have the newspaper ad cutting it did not apply. Her reciept clearly showed that it had been bought during the period.
They are happy to sell you the stuff but don’t give a toss once you’ve handed over the money.

This is a great branch of Currys, based at Hermiston Retail park so there is an enormous amount of parking available. You’ll find it difficult to get here easily by bus though. It’s a good sized store, displaying loads of electrical goods, including tvs, cookers, fridges and freezers, small household goods, computers and such. They have a pretty good stock of pc, playstation and xbox games too, and often have discount deals available if you are looking to multi buy. It’s a well laid out and clean store and not so big that it feels like a warehouse. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful and they are not the type who follow you around the store pressuring you by asking if there is anything they can help with every five minutes.
