Great atmosphere, love that you can control the music via an app on your phone. Best part of this place is the cask ales, seems to always be 3 on tap, along with a decent point rewards scheme. Major Con: will not allow you to open a tab, spent around a £100 here one night and to go up to the bar every 15 – 20 mins is annoying. Sadly I’ll most likely spend my time at the few other pubs in the area as the tab thing is a downer.

Thanks Sean, That is really quick visit, more time than I get! Your are right it was the Vestry, and before The Litern Tree. I have been covering and updating since 2011and before with QYPE. That means I send through helpful hints to Unilocal about new businesses changes of name and closures.

Visited The Faraday for the first time tonight. I never managed to stop in while it was The Vestry, but the pubs new makeover peaked my interest. It has a fun hipster sort of vibe inside, with a number of interesting seating areas, front and back gardens, and an upstairs. They have a humble little selection of craft beers on tap(about 5 I think,) but they look like they rotate out regularly. The Faraday also seems to have a respectable wine and cocktail menu, as well as the standard draft lagers if that’s your thing. We only had a pint before moving on tonight, but the menu looks promising, in a gastro pub sort of way. The staff seem to be plentiful and courteous, which is always a bonus(we were asked if we were being served by about three bartenders while ours was drawing our pints.) They have some odd little features that I found interesting, such as printing services, spare chargers, and even an app that let’s you control the virtual jukebox. Little things, but unique nonetheless. All in all, we had a nice evening for our first stop at The Faraday, and I look forward to returning again soon.
