This is a fairly typical Wetherspoons pub with one large bar split onto three levels. It has a good range of beers and reasonably priced food. It can get busy at times. The multi– story car park is just behind it and the station is only a short walk away.

This is one of the more interesting Wetherspoons locations to which I’ve been. I enjoy the building and there is typically plenty of seating available at any day or time. They also have some an impressive lady’s restroom, which always improves my rating of a restaurant. The service here is usually very friendly– and for service alone, I would rate it 4 stars. The food is okay– but for the price it’s quite good. The curry club on Thursdays has some nice options– especially the sweet potato, chickpea, and spinach curry. Their recent cider festival was really lovely– featuring a great variety of ciders including a beetroot cider! My husband enjoys the rotating ales as there is usually something new and different for him to try. All in all, worth a stop in if you’re a bit thirsty!

Eh, it’s a typical JD Wetherspoon, but it’s a decent place to meet up for a pint or to grab a(very) cheap bite. Food is fine, not great, but not bad. The ale selection rotates regularly, and that’s enough to keep me coming back. Usually a decent crowd, all types of people seem to be drawn to this pub in the heart of Epsom. The staff is… Well, they’re a mixed bag I guess, some quite friendly, others scowling as they pull you a pint. Again, to be expected from a Wetherspoons I suppose. Oh, and bonus points for the ladies loo I hear. My wife tells me it’s won awards, so, there’s that I guess?

This boozer Wetherspoon’s mixes modern with the traditional feel of good olé country suburb pub, I believe rumour has it this place use to be a old Assembly court style hall hence it kept the name, inside this boozer is a very spacious seating area with plenty of places to find yourself somewhere to sit down and enjoy your pint or drink that including couches. I found though a the atmosphere very vacant and perhaps to somber for my liking and locals tended to rudely push in front of you at the bar and not only, that it seemed the bar staff, seemed to endorse this sort of behaviour by favouritism serving them in front of anyone else who may have been patiently waiting to be served. This did not impress me sorry!!! but I guess the place is good for a drink I’d say!

A REASONABLEMORNINGPLACEFORTHEFAMILY This is a pleasant place to take the family in the morning and provides very reasonably priced food and coffee. This Weatherspoons is normally clean and tidy and the bar staff are always pleasant enough if not a little rushed now and then. The only real gripe I have is that the cooked breakfast they serve is, more often than not, cold when delivered — which is shame. If I point it out, they do take it away and microwave it but this isnt a fast process and it just hassle for all. I do wonder why they dont learn from these complaints — I have seen others point the same thing out. The large number of windows gives a great light an airy impression. They are generally good with kids with one or two exceptions. A good number of high chairs and fruit drinks for the kids makes the place attractive to parents.

The Assembly Rooms is a J.D. Wetherspoon pub in Epsom, at the bottom end of the High Street. I’m actually surprised nobody’s reviewed it, as it’s a) very big and b) normally very busy. Anyway, it’s one of the nicest pubs to drink in in the area. It’s really cosy inside but also spacious, with really nice old-fashioned-and-yet-somehow-modern décor. As it’s a Wetherspoon’s it’s also cheap which is obviously great but what’s better is that you don’t have to drink in the usual Wetherspoon’s environs i.e. filth. The BEST thing about this pub, however, is the bathroom — bear with me here. Can’t speak for the men, obviously, but the ‘ladies room’ at this pub has won numerous awards and rightly so. Has a lovely old-fashioned powder room with seats and mirrors and is generally exceptional both for its quality and its uniqueness. In a Wetherspoon’s eh? Who would have thought it…
