Stayed here overnight and ate in the restaurant. Although most of the staff I met were pleasant and helpful, the hotel and restaurant are below average.
The room I was given was very noisy due to the proximity of the main road, and I suspect most of the rooms would be similar due to the layout and design of the building.
The restaurant menu is attempting to be a cut above Premier Inn, and I looked forward to my beef stew with dumplings, something I hadn’t had for years. Imagine the disappointment when the stew I was given was a watery meat soup, devoid of vegetables, and the dumplings still uncooked inside.
Numerous other smaller things combined with my main gripes above. The upshot is I won’t be staying there again.

We went there for a meal and was very disappointed with it. The hotel itself is very nice and tidy, although did not stay in a room. The meal was just gammon and eggs, but when it came the gammon was very fatty. The waitress’s there never once came across to see if everything was ok with the meal even though we were the only one’s in the restaurant. This has never happen before to us. For the price we paid a little bit of customer service would not have gone a miss. 3 stars for the place.
