We booked for valentines day and turned up to find this place almost empty. There was us and one other couple in a room that had a sort of a garden pergola in the middle of it with fake plants climbing up it — our table was under this, I do hope they have got shot of it.
We weren’t met at the door, I think a member of staff had called in ill and the chef and an assistant chef were in the kitchen, so we were greeted by the woman who was having her meal, I think she was either a relative or a staff member on her night off, she got the chef who took our order and she got us a drink from the bar. It was all quite surreal.
We couldnt have a conversation as the room was so quiet we would have been overheard.
We ordered the mezze for 2 and the food just came and came. There was hardly any room on the table for the amount of dishes. Some of the dishes seemed as if they were out of a tin as did some of the veg, it was quite an experience and I dont think I would go back, or I might just to see if it was just one of those nights or that we had stepped through a wormhole and landed in an alternate universe.

what an amazing night out. was booked in for a meal one saturday night. i was a little apprehensive as i had never tried greek food before. what a treat though. i was pleasantly surprised and have now been back several times since then. they restaurant itself is quite small, but cosy, with some traditional music in the background. the food was delicious and the staff are glad to recommend things from the menu. it’s probably best to book a table in advance as they are getting more popular. they are situated in manor street. it is a doorway opposite the lane (bar), then you go upstairs and into the restaurant.

excellent. i’m pretty sure this is the only greek restaurant in the area. delicious food at a good price and the staff are so friendly, it really is nice but it’s a bit out of the way, not too many people know about it cos its upstairs in manor street, opposite the lane. You must try the suvlaki (sorry if it’s spelt wrong), its amazing.
