I have been to loads of PE restaurants all over the country and I have to applaud the restaurant in Falmouth. It is fantastic!!! Great service, Great food with a view to die for!

We went here because we had used Pizza Expresses elsewhere without any complaints. However, this was going to be different. First, the good points Its position on the quay gives excellent views across the water through huge panoramic windows. Erthat’s it. Now, what went wrong We had to wait to be seated(on rather uncomfortable seats) and then had a long wait after ordering before our food arrived. The people behind us had an even longer wait to be seated yet had finished their food and were leaving before we had eaten barely half ours. All in all, sitting down to being served was over 45 minutes and the restaurant was by no means full. The food was not of a very high standard — much poorer quality than I had experienced in my previous PE visits. The pizzas seemed minimumly topped and somewhat thrown together. My wife has a Nicoise salad which did not contain olives or hard boiled eggs. This may be the way PE do it but I would say they are necessary components of a Nicoise salad. Black pepper was not automatically offered — the waitress seemed a bit put out that I dared to ask for some. I had to go and seek out someone in order to pay. Needless to say I skipped over the gratuity section of the bill! There are many other fine eateries in Falmouth, I would suggest going to find one rather than use this place.

You know what your getting with pizza express, same menu countrywide with a huge selection of pizza’s but here you get an absolutely fantastic view across the bay surrounded by glass on three sides, especially on the balcony seating. Worth checking out the local papers before going in as they always have a two for one voucher inside and expect more offers as domino’s have opened at the other end of town. The food is always good and the staff friendly but if you go on a busy evening make sure you ask for a window seat as they will cramp you in the middle. Biggest bugbear here is the price of drinks, very pricey and very small, we often have a coke and wait to go across the road for drinks afterwards. Check out the ice cream parlour below though as it’s fantastic!
