There are two Big Ideas stores in Glasgow — and this one is located in the Italian Centre. I found myself wandering in there this week while exploring the near-​ghosttown that is the courtyard of the Italian Centre.
If the lady in the shop thought it bizarre that I (size 10) was wandering around a plus sized clothe shop — she didn’t show it. Instead she had a lovely chat with me about the weather and the general state of the Italian Centre. She was really friendly — and I’d have no hesitations at all in advising you to go and pay her a visit yourself.
The stock in Big Ideas is a little pricey, but if you’re on a budget try and make a trip around sale time, because they have some great offers. The clothing varies from very formal to casual, and it’s a great place to head if you’re a size 16+ and looking for something a little special, or even just a little bit different.
