Rum and raisin, raspberry ripple, classic vanilla, double chocolate, freakin’ pistachio, irn bru?! An ice cream place is only as good as the flavours it offers, right? I mean, later, when you’ve already bought a cone you can worry about consistency and about how well it even pulls those flavours off, but surely if they don’t have the flavour you want you’ll just go elsewhere. Crolla has a great range of flavours. As well as all the old classic flavours it has a few more exciting options as well as a small number of sorbets — perfect if you want something just a little more refreshing. Fortunately, they do manage to get the flavours right(at least all the ones I’ve tasted) and the consistency of the ice cream is always creamy perfection. They do so-called«real food» too. I recommend their student lunch deal which is a soup and half sandwich for a very reasonable price. The pizza cones look great too but I don’t think I’d have any idea how to actually eat one. I’ll try eventually and get back to you on that. Their coffee is pretty good too but really, you’re here for the ice cream and the ice cream is good. Treat yourself to an extra scoop.

The ice cream is delicious! It doesn’t quite taste like the gelato I’m used to, but it was tasty none the less. They offer lots of flavors and of course let you try as many as you’d like, which is helpful when you are indecisive like me. They also have pizza cones — yep, pizza cones, and other food that sounded good. But I came for the ice cream and ice cream alone. I’m not a huge fan of the inside, it is pretty small and when its packed it feels a little chaotic to me. But they have an outside area that is good for a nice *warm* day. They do not allow dogs inside so keep that in mind. It is also a tad pricey but perhaps worth it for the occasional treat?

The ice cream is absolutely delicious here. There are always plenty of flavours to choose from, and if there is one you’ve never tried before you’re welcome to taste test it. They staff are very friendly and the parlour is lovely and clean. My favourite place to come during spring and summer. They not only do ice cream, but lunch food as well, such as soup and grilled sandwiches. I’ve had a grilled chicken sandwich before and that was also very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place either for a nice lunch and always for dessert!

Stopped in here for dessert after dinner and decided to try Crolla’s after hearing good things. Inside it’s a fairly standard café, with an additional seating area downstairs and outdoor seating for the warmer days. I had the cookie dough which came with 2 scoops of ice cream, a sauce and a topping. Went for the caramel shortbread and mint choc chip. The portion size was huge! I couldn’t finish it all but what I did have was lovely. Only criticism would be the caramel shortbread ice cream, I didn’t really get much of a flavour out of it, apart from it being sweet. I’ll head back here again for ice cream or dessert. It’s reasonably priced with a good selection. Also, they deliver on Deliveroo.

Ice cream is great here tried the irn bru ice cream with mango and raspberry ripple with marshmallows. They mixed it up on the slab and it was mixed together. So good! Many more ice cream flavours to chose from. Would visit here again.

Don’t be put off by the slightly garish exterior, this is a great little café(with additional seating down stairs). My wife had a cold stone ice cream with 2 Scoops and I had a cappuccino and scone and it all came to well under a tenner(I think there is a deal on the hot drink + scone). Fantastic Motown songs were playing too.

Over the years my travels have taken me to LA and the Coldstone Creamery. I often yearned for something similar in Scotland to remind me of that particular Californian experience. Well, you can get a Coldstone experience right here in the heart of Glasgow. It’s pretty darn good.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with ice cream, and Crolla’s does a great job at delivering just the right amount of decadence for my sweet tooth! I always get a selection of flavors(one scoop is never enough!) and they have great toppings and friendly service every time I’ve been there. Sure the place can get crowded, but so does any small ice cream parlour on a hot summer’s day! I’ll definitely be back to try one of their sundaes sometime soon!

I’ve heard pretty good things about Crolla’s Gelataria and was super excited tohave some gelato after a warm day out at the park! I haven’t had ice cream in months either so I was super stoked! But as I was approaching the place with my partner and friends, we were greeted with a whole ton of MESS. Dirty sticky tables outside, covered in used napkins and to-go gelato cups that had dried up melted ice cream in it(can I say EW?). Seems like the staff don’t care much about cleanliness??? We had to clean everything up before sitting at one of the tables outside, which really did make my impression of the place quite bad. When you go in, there are tables and benches that are the same; not cleaned and not cleared from cups and napkins. Is this place dirty or something? :/ I have no complaints about the staff member who served us though! He was a friendly lad! He laughed at me when I asked if the toppings and sauce for my gelato were free, and then proceeded to generously coat my gelato with thousands of sprinkles and chocolate sauce. I laughed in delight as I paid 3pounds for such a wonderful portion of ice cream. I also really liked the ice cream itself! Best way to describe — SINFUL. Guilt with every bite, but it’s so worth it hohohohoho! The only comment is, please maintain the cleanliness of the premises! I mean, I’m not a picky person, I don’t mind seeing tables uncleared if the staff members make an effort to clean it when they notice new customers coming in, but they saw us put our stuff down, they saw us sit outside with the dirty crap and sticky stuff on the table, and yet they just shrugged it off and left us to clear everything ourselves. Indifferent much?

Popped in here on a whim but was definitely pleased. Café style seating areas both upstairs and downstairs. Popped in for ice cream obviously and was not disappointed. Went with the classic double nougat(not the easiest to eat in public) Would go back in a heartbeat but those portions are not good for the waistline!

Great little ice cream shop. We had the Tablet ice cream and it was soooo good! The atmosphere is cramped so on busy days I wouldn’t expect to be able to sit down and have your ice cream. They do have loads of toppings as well.

Me and my friend just happened to walk part this ice cream shop and decided to go inside. There were so much to choose from. I decided to opt for a cold stone ice cream. They mix up all the different flavours and serve it on a long plate. I got the cookie dough one which was amazing! It came with hot cream melted cookies and 3 different flavours of ice cream! They have kinder egg ice cream and much more flavours you’ll hardly ever come across. For just £4.50 this was really good! The tables are cute and there’s a candle on each one and the lights have bowler hats on them, a pretty cool place to be. It’s a really nice setting for a get together or even to take someone on a date. So if you just happen to walk past this place on byres road, don’t hesitate, make sure you drop in and you’ll be amazed at all the choices! I’ve been back many times since and it’s a place where me and my friend always go and the staff are really friendly.
