I do enjoy a cheeky Nando’s every now and then — they do a reasonable variety of veggie mains and sides. I love their sauces and peri-peri sprinkle, which is just as well as the food might be a little bland otherwise. On my visit last week I had a beanie burger(bean packed patty with peas and sweetcorn) with added halloumi and a side of spicy chips. The service was fine, our order was ready fairly quickly and we had no complaints about the food. It’s situated in the atrium of the shopping centre so it’s more about the convenience than the dining experience. We were having a quick bite to eat before seeing a film at the centre so it was handy for us.

Boneless Chicken thighs with chips and garlic bread every time :) lemon and herb marinade is brilliant for me as I don’t like the spicy! The Portuguese tarts for desert is amazing too :)

Sometimes the mood takes you. I’ve eaten many chicken burgers over the years, but few top a nandos burger with medium spice with accompanying spicy fries. It’s homogeneous across all outlets and and consistently hits the mark for me. Today I went to the silverburn branch which has just been refurbed. Apparently it’s bigger, but I couldn’t both versions the difference. There seems to be an updated menu too, but why mess with tasty perfection and deviate from the burger. On the downside this one still feels like a goldfish bowl in The middle of a shopping mall.

I like chicken and I like this restaurant. Staff are bright and friendly without being overbearing and we’ve yet to have a problem with any of the food. Good for kids as well.

I’m a Nando’s addict and I’ve visited all of the Nando’s restaurants in the Glasgow area. As such, this isn’t the best(I’d give that award to the one at the Quay) as sometimes the portions aren’t as big and the setting(a corner of the main Silverburn concourse, not in its own unit) isn’t great, but the staff are nice and the food is what you expect at Nando’s. Upgraded to 5* to reflect how much I go there!

I dont see the big deal. Its just chicken? But hey it is a good atmosphere in the restaurant and smells great with their open plan kitchen in plain sight to the patrons

It’s a Nando’s. it’s a very nice Nando’s but it’s still just a Nando’s. The staff are friendly. The place was clean. The food was chicken-themed.

My first visit to a Nando’s. It was recommended by my teenage daughter, who was with me. The place was half full even though it was 6 on a Sunday evening. For all that it was more than twenty minutes before the food arrived. This was a disappointment. I had ordered Caesar salad with chicken done in mango and lime. The chicken was nicely cooked but unfortunately the flavour couldn’t be tasted. This was due to the salad being past its best. The lettuce was crisp enough but several bits were turning brown at the edge. To compensate for this(perhaps?) it was smothered in so much of the sauce I was surprised the lettuce wasn’t floating. So I couldn’t say if the chicken had mango and lime dressing or not. I had considered only two stars, but fortunately Nando’s are saved by the staff. On arrival at the entrance we were seated straight away and we were given a choice of tables. The order was given fairly quick(pity about the wait after) and the waiting staff were pleasant and attentive. My daughter enjoyed her wrap, I’ll probably try Nando’s again, but as there are a few other places in Silverburn, I doubt it will be any time soon.

I went to Nando’s for the first time today in 3 years, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it considering the first time I went to Nando’s in the St Enoch Center I couldn’t have enjoyed it less. Despite the shopping centre being absolutely mobbed, a normal weekend at Silverburn, and the restaurant itself being quite busy, we were seated immediately upon arrival by an incredibly pleasant host. Colin and I decided we would have the Meal Platter between us, which was a whole chicken, 2 small sides and 2 bottomless soft drinks for a very reasonably £19.30. We decided to order it half and half, because I’m a wimp and wanted the«plain-ish» flavour, and Colin wanted Medium, and got chips and garlic bread to accompany. As someone who spends an exorbitant amount of money on drinks in a restaurant, the bottomless soft drinks were a godsend! We skipped the starters, and went straight fro the main course. The 20 minute wait for the food didn’t bother me, as I can talk for Britain, and people watching is a favourite hobby of mine, especially in shopping centres! I like the atmosphere in this Nando’s, because we were seated just next to the small fountain and stream, which was lovely, and the open plan gives a nice feel. When our food came I tucked right in and it was delicious, but it was an absolute feast, so much so I had to ask for a goody bag to take home what I didn’t finish! My only problem during eating was being pestered by 3 waiters over a half an hour period all asking me if I wanted more chips or garlic bread or rice, which I would’ve went up and ordered if I’d wanted. There isn’t much communication between waiters, with them asking the same questions to tables who’ve already been asked. We decided not to order a dessert either as nothing particularly took our fancy. Apart from that small fault, I can’t fault the restaurant or experience on much else! I don’t like the fact you personally have to go to the bar to order, it makes it feel like a pub. The food isn’t the greatest I’ve had, it’s quite basic. I’d say it’s definitely only somewhere you go when you’re specifically in the mood, not really a place you go on a spur of the moment, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back!

Nando’s is by far the best moderate priced restaurant on the high st.

I loves me a bit of Nandos action! I know some people may bash it for being a chain restaurant and they seem to be cropping up more and more but I think Nandos is much better than other restaurants of its ilk. My favourite thing about this Nandos is that I used to live right beside it and I could phone up and place an order and then collect it to eat at home in front of some crap TV. It was a delicious and healthier alternative to ordering a pizza or a Chinese. Nandos is of course best known for it’s chicken but I highly recommend the Beanie Burger or Pitta vegetarian options(when they ask you if you want cheese and pineapple with that say yes yes yes!). The Beanie options, as the name suggests, are made up of lots of different types of beans which are very good for you and super tasty marinated in your choice of sauce from extra hot Peri Peri to the easier to pallet Mango and Lime, mmm mmm. I think the sides are great too, especially the chips with Peri Peri salt. In fact I love them so much that I bought Peri Peri salt to use on my chips at home! I must have had everything on the Nandos menu by now and have never been disappointed. This isn’t a Michelin star kind of meal but if you appreciate it for what it is I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
