Have dined here several times and never been disappointed. Fresh, locally sourced produce including beautiful game has always been enjoyed. In fact, we had our wedding at the Piping Centre and the food for our reception was delicious and well presented. The rooms here are very comfortable too.

Enjoyed lunch! The haggis was good but needed a bit more pepper. My sister loved her fish finger sarnie. Lived the gin and tonic menu, nice wee Scottish selection with a choice of tonics

I stayed here for my cousin’s wedding last spring and I had a wonderful stay. Friendly, accommodating staff and all around great service makes this place a 5 out of 5! As I mentioned before, I stayed here for my cousin’s wedding. My room was the perfect size and was always clean. The room had a tv with tons of channels and the bed and linens were all very comfortable. It was also nice to sleep with the windows open so I could get a nice, cool breeze at night. The restaurant downstairs from the rooms had a wonderful breakfast in the mornings. I especially liked the Pipe Major’s Breakfast. It felt very authentic, but more importantly it was very tasty. It is also an amazing cure for the morning after our Stag Doo. The bar had a nice selection of beers and whiskys. All of the servers and bartenders were polite and friendly, and made everyone feel welcomed. My cousin was married upstairs in the auditorium and they decorated it very well. The food for the reception was my favorite meal of the trip. The bar they set up had a great selection of everything. The staff was very helpful through everything. You could tell they really made my cousin’s day extra special. The location was good for me since I was in full tourist mode. It’s fairly close to the train stations which allowed me to travel to Edinburgh for the day. It’s also walking distance from Buchanan Street, which was nice. Overall I had a wonderful stay and I cannot thank the staff enough for all they did.

Well, this place was recommended by a friend for value; that is to say great food at a good price. The lamb chops were ok, reasonable flavor but breaded. That may have helped with seasoning but the breeding was a bit mushy and the meat was a bit overdone. Presentation was very good. Forgot to take a photo first. Service ok, but a bit inexperienced/trained. The atmosphere is fine but a bit crowded space to move around squeezing between occupied chairs. Desert, atoll, with fresh raspberries is delicious, not too sweet, rich yet light.

Nicely presented lunchtime menu, two courses £9.95. It’s an ideal venue for anyone travelling in to Glasgow at lunchtime via Buchanan Street Bus Station. Excellent service and the food was very well presented and tasty. I would have liked more salad to make the small portion of food look less lost on the plate.

Went here with a big group for pre-theatre before heading to the Theatre Royal for Edward Scissorhands. And when I say a big group, I do mean big — around 20 split over two tables. Which is a stretch, for any restaurant, and I do appreciate that. Our tables were booked for 5.30, straight out of work. Lovely atmosphere, simple but comfortable décor and tables. Drinks service was a little erratic, but again given that there were 20 of us, and we weren’t even the only people in the restaurant, I have no problem with that at all. I had the chicken with tomato sauce, stuffed with ham and cheese & served with greens. My tablemates had a mixture of pork risotto(unusual choice for a meat to go with a risotto, no?), fish & chips, & mushroom chicken. There’s an emphasis throughout the menu on Scottish produce. I’m on the search for the perfect pub fish & chips. These definitely looked like they may have been a contender — certainly the chip & mushy peas that I stole from my mate’s plate were very good… My chicken was moist, tasty and the cheese stuffing was damn good. The dishes did arrive a bit apart from each other, but again, with a group of 20, I’m not complaining. I’ve been meaning to go here for ages, glad I had the chance!

Went here on sat night on a 5pm deal 2 course bottles wine £35PC. Resturant is situated in side of piping centre, so an obvious scottish feel to this small delightful eatery, chose fish cakes & haggis for starters which were both delicious, mains salmon and lamb shank again rewarding the taste buds quality wine also although second bottle £20 wee bit pricey, expected bagpipe music to be piped through in background music but got Coldplay instead oh well, very satisfied with food will go back.

I love this place. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The hotel is attached to the National Piping Centre. So, not only do you get a great hotel, and restaurant, but bagpipe music and a cool museum. The staff is great. Our room was super clean and well designed with nice modern furnishings. The bed was very comfy with great sheets and the clawfoot tub was a super deep. The complimentary breakfast is to die for– eggs, sausage, tattie scones, tomatoes, mushrooms, hell even the toast was amazing. We also ate dinner here when we were too jet-lagged to deal with exploring the area for food and again, the food was the best. Everything was fresh and seasoned well. The prices were affordable, even with a somewhat crumby exchange rate.

This was a disappointment to say the least. We had wanted to try this place for ages and were excited about going here. My mum had cullen skink, I had black pudding to start which were both nice. Thenfor the main course, I had steak pie which was too salty and had a shop bought individual lid stuck on the side. My mum had a frozen shop bought slice of fish which were both overpriced and were rotten. They did not have a scottish essential on the menu, steak, which was ver strange. A very forgettable experience, we actually got a part refund as the meal was so bad. I’m only sorry I need to give them a star.
