My main memory of this shop is as follows: Me and the boy were heading to a ‘pizza party’ and passed here on the way. It being a roasting hot midsummer’s day and us having stopped off for one or two in The Granary, we decided it was a good idea to buy some cheap ice-cream lollies and cans of Barr’s fizzy poison. The shop was deserted(just the way I like ‘em) and lovely and cool. Additionally, given how small it appears from the outside, there was an impressive array of sweets, drinks, crisps and smoking paraphernalia. The sole member of staff was also very nice and chatty(possibly relived to have some human interaction). Sadly the pizza party was not so pleasant — it consisted of me, the boy and my wayward friend who had secretly invited ‘a kinda’ ex of mine from previous years. Hmmm.
