Service is always quick and efficient and staff always friendly and helpful. I never go expecting a gourmet experience as it is part of a big chain but the food is always fresh, tasty and well cooked. Lots of choice and both food and drinks very reasonably priced. Dog friendly also a great wee beer garden for the one sunny day a year we get in Scotland!

It had been raining all day so didn’t venture out much, but the need to find dinner was becoming more important than the rain, We wanted to keep it local for the night, so off to The Burnbrae we went. This is a cozy pub/restaurant. To drink I went with the house Rosé and I was not disappointed. For the meal I went with the 10oz Black Angus Rib eye with sautéed Paris brown mushrooms, onion rings, chips, roasted cherry tomatoes and topped with garlic & herb butter. Though the rib eye was cooked to perfection, perfectly pink and melt in your mouth like butter, I would have liked it a little bit warmer, maybe to melt the butter a tab more. Over all the meal was perfect, in fact I ate every bite. I also added a side salad, was it vivid in color, it was fresh and great tasting and nicely went with the meal. Service was great and friendly, glad to have stopped by for dinner.

Good food but slow service. Seem to favour locals as when I was in on Sunday, local next to me got drink and meal quicker that we got ask if we required a drink. Drink to look at menus would have nice. On a pro has a nice wee bar at front with better service.

Have been here a few times and one of the times I had a bad meal. Was liking forward to going here last night as it was a family dinner. It was very busy so luckily we had booked. The service was great, couldn’t complain and the food was nice too. I wouldn’t say amazing it memorable enough to make me want to go back soon. I have only given three stars because I have had better meals elsewhere and wouldn’t rush back here although I would recommend anyone to try it. I really liked that they lower us to take away the left over meat for my dog which some places can be arsy about.

As the Burnbrae is only 5 mins walk away, this is one of my fav places to come for either a meal, a drink or even a coffee to meet a work colleague. Although on the same site as a Premier Inn, the burnbrae feels like a real local place to go, with lots of local frequenting. Menu itself is really varied. Have eaten here over 20 times and never had a bad meal. Sometimes if it’s really busy, service can be a bit slower — but staff usually apologetic. Well worth a visit!

Nice bar, good atmosphere. Great pint I Guinness. Cosy seating. Extensive food menu, unfortunately having persevered and tried many of the dishes I do not recommend any of them. Oh and the wine glasses more often than not have lipstick on them from previous customers.

The Burnbrae is one of those bars ‘attached’ to a Premier Inn, but it is a little walk away from the hotel. It’s definitely more aimed at people who are wanting food, rather than those who are just in for a few drinks, although both are welcome. The actual bar area itself is quite a small part, at the front door, with the rest of the tables generally reserved for eating. There is a decent selection of lagers, and ales, both bottled and on tap, and an extensive selection of wines and whiskys. The bar selection is overall quite good, with plenty nibbles on offer, from crisps to wasabi peanuts. The food, well this is where it gets interesting. Over several different visits the food quality has ranged from basic/average, to brilliant, to actually having to send food back. I think the chef changes fairly frequently, as does the menu, and you can never tell if your food will be good or not. On most occasions I’ve eaten there the food has been fine, however, it’s pretty decent pub grub rather than restaurant quality. The service can also vary, from friendly to brusque, but again it’s mostly just fine, not intrusive, although on more than one occasion we’ve had to ask where our drinks are after the food had arrived! The building has recently had an extension added on, so now there is an extra seating area off to one side of the bar, which would be good for a private function as it’s quite well separated from the main bar area. They’ve also built a decent patio/smoking area out the front, and their pretty, full of flowers garden out the back is away from the main road, and perfect for hot summer days… if we ever get any! If the quality of the food and service was consistent, the Burnbrae would get a 5 star review from me. Despite the odd glitch, I keep going back, and as my parents live nearby it’s a favourite place to meet up with them. It’s slightly out the way, a 20 minute(quite nice!) walk from Milngavie train station, or a 2 minute taxi ride, and there are buses that go by with a stop just a few yards from the pub.

Was in the Burnbrae for food on Saturday with 2 friends who are not from the local area. Despite a good start with a friendly welcome the service rapildy went downhill. There were huge gaps in between staff being avaliable to serve, some of the food had to be sent back twice as it wasnt cooked properly and we waited so long for our last course that we ended up getting it for nothing. The rest of the food was good but the service let it down so badly. Having eaten here regularly before I was embarassed that I had suggested it and wont be returning anytime soon.

stayed in the hotel on this site dozens of times and this restaurant is worthy of a visit. Good food, a little commercialized but not too much. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. The place is so cosy, i like to find a corner and chill out and read. give it a go.

Had a lovely meal at the Burnbrae. Wine excellent plus the Haddock in the Batter is fantastic. Also thanks go to Lynne who served us so well. I would certainly recommend anyone to pay a visit to this restaurant.

The Burnbrae is a pub/restaurant located just opposite the Allander Leisure Centre. It’s part of the Chef & Brewer chain. It’s a nice place to come for a few drinks. It’s always busy so usually has a nice atmosphere and nice open fires in the winter. There’s also a small courtyard area to sit outside in the summer months and light nights. Drinks prices are pretty cheap compared to city centre bars. They also often do themed nights with guest ales and quiz nights which are good fun. The Burnbrae also serve food but it can be a bit hit or miss. I’ve had a few good meals in here but also some that have been truly awful. There seems to be quite a high staff turnover as they are often advertising for a chef so maybe this is the problem!
