Waddells Models

Formally known as D&F Models and based in the same location, this is a place you normally wouldn’t find me frequenting!
My close friend now lives in Phoenix & is a train enthusiast… thats an understatement. His whole garage had an entire town built in it with railways etc. It’s been his passion for over 50 years now. As I’m heading out shortly to visit, he emails me a list of random things that mean nothing to me.
I call up this store being the most local & relay the information to the lady on the other side. Yeah Yeah — I know what you mean, but we don’t have 8 in stock of those. Let me order them in for she said & we’ll get them in before you go, no bother.
This was followed up later the same day by William from the store confirming it had been ordered.
Now, I didn’t get a call to say they had arrived, but as they close Sundays and Mondays, I was going to call back on Tuesday anyway. Sure enough, they had arrived on the Monday and I popped into the store to collect.
Really laid back friendly service, even to a non model enthusiast such as myself. That said, I was in awe of the detail of models & extensive range available. William himself showed me pictures of his home model setup as we got talking about my mate & me being his courier!
I have to say, I was a little impressed that nothing seemed too difficult here. Good service in any sector, is hard to find & this place really stepped up. Thanks William & co for your help & if you are into models — get down here!
