I came in here because my bracelet is missing a few stones and I wanted to see if they could replace them. Nothing to do with the shiny blue diamond ring on display I’m still panting over. Of course not.
Well, after flagging down a woman to come and help me, I got a mini-​lecture about how I shouldn’t wear it in the bath because it loosens the adhesive and then she disappeared off to help another couple next to me who’d been in before. Not very good customer service since she was now supposed to be helping me and I was in the middle of a sentence when she excused herself.
I did get to check out the blue diamond ring but they didn’t have my size, or anything other than the display judging from what she was saying about ordering it in.
She did come back and take my bracelet so she could send it off for an estimate, but that’s a basic in a jewellery shop really.
If you want my advice? If it’s a ring you want to buy, go to the store to have a look at it in person and if you can’t find anyone who can give you any real information about what you’re looking at, go home and order it online. If you go through Quidco, you can get 12% cashback. Considering the price of most H Samuel stuff, it’d be worth it.
