Ain’t nothing like heading out to the country and doin’ some learnin’s. Like — there was a king called Loth in the 7th century, hence the area where I have lived all my life is known as the Lothians. I learned this on the info-board at Traprain Law — a crag and tail for those geographically inclined that provides a lovely natural viewpoint across East Lothian. You do have to share it with a lot of sheep mind, who don’t know what to make of these random 2-footed buggers wandering all over their grass, and some of their little gifts do leave a pongy whiff. However, if you do make it up the steep-ish incline, sit back and enjoy.
