The Haywards Heath Prezzo has taken the place of an old bank on the corner of the Broadway. This means that it has a gloriously high ceiling which is accentuated by the large curtain you part as you walk through the door. There are a number of tables downstairs and the addition of a clever mezzanine adds to the seating capacity in the gallery. I usually choose to eat up there and you get a wonderfull view of the oak beams and all the goings on of the restaurant down below. They serve traditional Italian cuisine and have an authentic stone baked oven should you opt for a pizza. The wine list is fresh and they have a good range of both white and red varieties. On my last visit I enjoyed a very good Pinot Grigio. They also will frequently have promotions on either 2 course and a drink for £10, or two main meals for £10. It’s well worth taking advantage of these offers, but even without the menu is reasonably priced and well constructed. The service was adequate, but you can get left to it a bit on busy nights. They may well improve on this if they decided to employ another member of staff on the busy shifts. Aside from this, I have always had a good experience when I have eaten here. Nice food in a unique setting.
