Yep, can’t complain. Feeling peckish between a connecting flight and wanted a healthier option. Giraffe has juices, smoothies and lots of good options for vegi and vegan on the menu. Service was quick, which is good if you’re hard pushed for time so overall a good place to grab a bite.

So stopped off here for a quick bite after the food on the plane was in edible. I ordered a big tower burger as was still in stuff my face San Fran mode. Too be honest it looked better than it tasted but it wasn’t bad. Great stop for something quick, tasty and cheap enough. Your not gonna get a five star in an airport or maybe you do and I need to travel more. Girl at the till was super friendly and interested in where id been. It’s nice to be nice!

Have been here on a few occasions & it’s always fairly mediocre. Not bad per se but nothing ground breaking. Reasonably paced service, friendly staff(or at least friendly to the customers, not so much to each other), lots of variety & reasonably priced. Wouldn’t be doing backflips over it!

We tend to visit Giraffe at the airport often to enjoy a last English breakfast before taking off. The place is always clean, the menu full of options, the portions enormous and quality is good I have only had the English breakfast a massive 2 eggs, 2 sausages, don’t even know how many rashes of bacon, tomato, baked beans and wedges. You have to pay for toast if you want it as you can’t replace the wedges but chances are you won’t even get to either wedges or toast. All is tasty I have also had their spicy bloody Mary’s…spicy and ok taste but a bit watery for my taste Prices last time was around 40 quid for 2 people including 1 Bloody Mary, 1 water, 2 pints and 2 English breakfast and toast The service is a bit hectic but probably because it is always busy

One word: Blecchhhh. Seriously! The staff is nice and friendly but the food is awful. I spent 2 weeks in Britain and never saw some of these meals on any other menu. Not sure what they’re trying to do here, but please go elsewhere. It’s pricey and not good!

«How bad could it be?» Well, when the electrical sockets on the walls near the booth are the highlight of the dining experience, things aren’t going to swell on the food and drink front. Even for an airport — Giraffe is the pits. Latte was a strange white color — and undrinkable. My food(Breakfast plate) arrived so fast, there is no way that it was prepared anywhere close to in the same few minutes that I ordered it. I appreciate the speed, especially given that people are in/out quickly to catch flights, but this was almost«too fast.» Like, McDonald’s. Cold mushrooms are quite possibly the most unappetizing occurrence ever at breakfast. The ham was also cold. The only edible portion were the scrambled eggs — passable. I’ll most definitely skip over to Pret next door(Or even Tin Goose) next time I fly out of LHR. As this is a chain, I”ll not return to any locations based on this bland, cold experience. But, if you need a tea and a bit of charge before a long haul flight? Might be a good option.

Giraffe at Heathrow Terminal One is the epitome of bad airport food — bland and uninspired. How is it possible to overcook pancakes? They must had been reheated them as the pancakes did not taste fresh — super dry! Despite trying to douse them in syrup, they simply were inedible. The blueberries on top of the short stack were clearly from a can and probably had been sitting out for a while. Yuck all around.

Hungry at the airport? Giraffe has a decent selection of foods. Service is okay, probably because they do not rely on repeat customers. Overall, just a convenient casual dining restaurant while waiting for a flight. I’ve eaten here on a couple of occasions.

T5’s Giraffe has served me many a-hungry-mornings, turned on my electronics in their moment of need and kept my worry scale(and the impending worry scales of doom from those around me) low. You wanna know what’s a-ok? It’s a-ok that I can comfortably sit, nosh, charge and watch the departure board to my heart’s content. After all of this the food seems secondary — which is not unusual for airport dining. That said, I always go for the crunchy granola/muesli/porridge options, although I have been swayed by the bagels with peanut butter — just to acclimate my taste-buds for the trip home of course. Call me crazy, but a tummy full of eggs and bacon before a 12+ hour flight never sounds appetizing. If you want«great» airport food, turn around and head to Gordon Ramsey. If you want a comfortable place to chill pre-flight, Giraffe is the beast for you.(Side note: I’d give Giraffe 5-stars if they actually served Giraffe. Just sayin’.) This morning was especially amazing as they let me have an entire booth to myself, even though I warned them that I’d be there for hours and wouldn’t order much.(Best customer EVAR.) It didn’t phase them a bit and after my four-hour-stay, I left £5 lighter with a belly full of Earl Grey tea and Mango smoothie. And an 100% battery on all of my in-flight entertainment! Super secret tip: All of the booths closest to the window have power sockets for your charging pleasure!

I was pretty hungry and waiting for my flight so anything could have sated me but as it turns out I was wrong. I saw another place that exclaimed, «Real Good British Food!» and then I chuckled to myself. I reviewed my options on my crackberry Unilocal and noticed the other Unilocal review for this place was good. As I peered over the shoulder of other diners and reviewed the menu, I thought, «this place looks delish!» I saw that the other diner had hummus w/some fresh veggies and a half-sandwich. I thought I’d get the same. I was seated next to another single diner and took a second look at the menu b/c his food looked less appealing. He had some kind of fried cod w/french fries. I think he felt the same way about his food b/c he barely touched it. I ended up ordering the hummus w/veggies. I found that the hummus had some other surprises in it! Roaches? I don’t think so. Bugs? Probably not. But I just ate it anyway b/c I’ve seen much worse. The waiters were attentive as I’m sure that they realize the quicker that you turn over the tables, the more $$. Before I left, I ordered some kind of mint tea that was really good. In the end, I would have preferred something else but I had limited time. There is a place just below the Giraffe that is v. good and always buzzing w/ppl. Go there.

I was connecting in London, oh my gosh, let me get to Boots, I love loading up on crisps and sweets(and Sulphadine) when I go to England. I was dragging around wasting time and I saw Giraffe, it looks like a diner in the middle of the airport. Brightly colored chairs, a large bar area for single diners and plenty of tables. I thought, let me go check this out. I ordered beans, toast and eggs over easy. What a nice change of pace and it wasn’t crazy expensive except for the mere fact that I was paying in pounds. All the servers were young, hip and attractive. I would have to say it is a mecca while traveling. Great lattes too!

Just for the view overlooking the lower level of Terminal 5 makes it a great spot to get a relaxing meal before a flight.(I was awed by how nice the new Terminal 5 is — doesn’t even compare to any of the airports in the states! Harrods?! Tiffany’s?!) I got the lox bagel & eggs which was delicious and really filling. The prices are also reasonable, almost everything on the menu being less than 10 pounds. I was so embarrassed when I saw a large group of American teenagers sitting next to us, being rude and asking the waitress to split the check into 12 separate checks for their convenience. It basically turned into a scene and made me cringe in my seat. The waitress was really attentive, so I tried to be as sickeningly polite as possible to make up for her other table of American spoiled brats.
