Holiday Inn Hotel London-Heathrow M4,Jct.4

Excellent hotel. Hubby used IHG points and had nice upgrade to new section w king bed. Restaurants here are quite nice and a few within walking distance are good. Second stay here so know r way around. Wish parking wasn’t so pricey. They gave us a mini fridge for free. Wish euro hotels would put a top sheet under the heavy comforter, gets overheated at night. We’ve learned to bring bath scrubbies as never get washcloths over here. We’ll be hiring a driver to get us to central London — faster easier then the train, bus, tube hassle. And national express I’d cheap option from Heathrow, but a lengthy trip.

I stay here quite frequently because the company I work for has a contract with them. If I could rate this hotel only on the check in staff, I would give it five huge stars. Every employee I have encountered at this hotel is extremely professional, helpful and friendly.
My issue is with the rooms themselves, specifically the air conditioning. In most of the rooms I’ve stayed in in the past two months it doesn’t seem to work at all. The fan blows stale, hot air, but that’s about it. I was there yesterday and the room was hot when I entered it. The thermostat read 24.5 degrees, and I turned the air on and set it to 20 degrees. When I woke up the thermostat said 25 degrees, even though it also said it was «cooling». If there was an option to open or even crack a window, this wouldn’t be too bad, at least air would be flowing, but the windows are sealed shut. I felt like I was in a hot, humid cave. Yes, I know, England is not known for hot weather and a lot of places don’t even have AC, but if I am in a hotel with air conditioning, I expect it to work every time. I have heard similar complaints from my colleagues. I hope this hotel doesn’t put us in the worst rooms because they know we have no alternative, but I can’t help but think it!
If only the AC worked when I stayed there this hotel would have a much better rating from me. I just can’t sleep when it’s hot, and sleep is what I am there for!

This UK Holiday Inn’s lobby/​interior décor/​accomodations are certainly a notch higher the other Holiday inn I ‘ve ever gone to. The room we stayed with 2 beds is pretty spacious, nice and clean. We did not touch the computer for the first night as the wi-​fi cost a fortune. Driving-​wise, the driver is on the right side here in UK and that dissuade us to use a rent-​a car. Instead we just took the bus and train here and commute like the locals. (I’m getting the hang of it! For that, I chose London as one of the most livable city in the world. It’s really extremely easy to explore and navigate the tube– that’s how they call their train) This particular Hotel is very convenient transit wise. There’s a walking distance
bus stop called PLOUGH. Ask the doorman who was very friendly, nice and accomodating to us. From there, you could ride a double decker bus and drop off at HOUNSLOW WEST (Piccadilly Line) TRAIN STATION. From there, take the train to central London via this route: We drop off at Piccadilly Circus train station then we transfer train for Charring Cross. Drop off Charring Cross and walk to exit Trafalgar Square from there, you could reach The National Gallery… for starter. You could also catch a bus tour– Original tours at Cockspur St. (this is also at charing cross exit trafalgar square and find cockspur st) Do not pre-​pay your activities on line. It is cheaper to buy on ground when you reach your destination. I just found that out to my consternation! If you want to go to The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Science Museum you could back track to (Picadilly Line) and drop off at South Kensington. If you want challenges and want to self-​navigate London via buses and train, this hotel is the best choice for you. It could be a bit tiring but very self–
fulfilling…

This place is pretty much an awesome steal. There are two Holiday Inns in this area; I’ve only stayed here as there is no reason not to. Comfy beds. Great room service. Fairly clean– I haven’t found anything odd. And yes, for a hotel where you can hop over to the airport, cheap. I use it when I want to stay in London too and just take the train downtown. I think after the exchange rate it was some like $ 80 a night. Don’t know if this is a special, as I stayed during off-​season months. It does book up quickly tho, so plan for that.

If you’re looking for a place to stay close to the airport, this is a very nice and new hotel somewhat nearby. It takes forever to get there from the airport since you need to take a bus, once you get there you’re able to settle in to a decent sized room.
We had a standard room with a queen bed and a pull-​out sofa bed and it fit 3 people just fine. Like everything in England, WiFi cost an arm and a leg so we went without it for the two nights we were there. The breakfast is buffet-​style and I wasn’t all that impressed with it but it’s got the standard English breakfast.
So, in conclusion, if you want to stay near the airport, this Holiday Inn is pretty nice. If you want to be anywhere near Central London, it’s going to take you over an hour to get to the city by bus/​tube… yes it takes FOREVVSS.

This is a fabulous hotel right by Heathrow!
Just to piggyback on the other reviewers, I was also completely shocked that a Holiday Inn could be so nice! Completely cheap too!
Unfortunately, when I stayed here, I had caught a disgusting cold and was über sick. I just wanted a bed to rest in before making the long trip home the following day. My expectations were low…
Our room was great, although pushing two twin beds side by side (seriously– there was NO gap in between them) was slightly awkward for me. I need space when I sleep, which is the whole point of getting two beds. But whatever, they were clean and comfy. The room was far nicer than expected, the room service fish and chips were delish and reasonably priced. The bathroom was spacious and the tub was big enough to take a good long sick soak. The hotel has a restaurant, although I didn’t visit it. They also provided a shuttle in the morning to Heathrow.
I would definitely recommend and visit next time.

Very Nice Holiday Inn. Surprised, shocked and again surprised that this was in fact a Holiday Inn that I was staying at. Very posh with different restaurants within the hotel and pubs within walking distance of Sipson Road.
Nothing against Holiday Inn but it wouldn’t be my first or primary choice for business lodging. It was probably the first time that those crazy commercials during the last two years of Holiday Inn rang through my head «I’m not a doctor or a professional but I did stay at a Holiday Inn, «even though I’ still not even quite sure what that’s supposed to mean. Great service and enjoyed the location.

This is my go to place when transiting via London. I try and stay the night I arrive and the night I leave. There isn’t a single standout — it is the whole experience that works. Often good rates through
wire. As another poster has said — terrific English breakfast. They have a very large dinner buffet — and while it is just a buffet, the food on it is pretty good — covering enough kinds of food so that evn the pickiest eaters should find something.
Beds, comfortable, location great, staff great.
So what’s not to like?

Love this hotel! Have stayed here on four separate trips and have enjoyed every visit. Quick & inexpensive shuttle ride (10 minutes) from the Heathrow Airport. Courteous staff. Yummy great English breakfast. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, hotel is quiet & serene.
Comfort is important to me, I rest here instead of the airport during long layovers. :)
