This place is fairly new and quite a pretty gem as I found it among the other coffee shops along Western Road. Sophie and I went here for a hot drink and our first meet. I had a Chai latte which was good and on a fair price. Spotted they also do breakfasts here and takeouts. The place us clean, airy and not so crowded.
I’m glad we went here as Sophie was surprised herself and she only lives up the road. Must try their breakfast at some point. Hove is unchartered territory for me as I don’t come here regularly but that’s gonna change. This café has been a good find!

Finally got the opportunity to go after hearing good things from friends and it didn’t disappoint. Very relaxing atmosphere with great selection of cakes and other baked goodies.
Decided on a pot of tea for two and it was presented in a nice pot with colourful teacups. It was very easy to sit for a bit and as the tea had brewed for some time, the friendly staff were happy to add fresh water meaning we could get an extra couple of cups.
Vanilla Pod is a great meeting place to relax and very reasonably priced.

Came by this place to meet up with fellow Unilocaler Maria G for a coffee.
This place has been open for about 7 months but I have some how always managed to pass it by! I’m glad Maria decided to meet me here because it was lovely!
I had a soya flat white, which was really nice and a steal at £2.45! My drink came with a free biscuit which I thought was a lovely touch, but as I am trying to be good and diet, I never ate mine!
They have a large selection of home made cakes, which I thought looked absolutely superb. It was really difficult to resist buying one, but my willpower was strong!
The staff were lovely and it was nice and quiet. Perfect for a nice coffee on a sunny day. I’ll definitely be coming back here more often.
