Had high expectations of this pub as I’d heard so much about it but was bitterly disappointed. If your not having the carvery, it is standard pub food. In fact, I think it was probably of less quality than standard pub food. I’ve had much better quality food at 2 for 1 pubs! Side salads leave a lot to be desired as my friend had limp lettuce and 1 slice of cucumber chopped up into small pieces. The starter of chipolata and Yorkshire puddings wasn’t good as the sausage was burnt and the Yorkshires were frozen and reheated. We were charged for an extra bbq sauce(which wasn’t clear on the menu or mentioned to us at time of ordering) and a Yorkshire pudding with a main meal which never materialised. The best part is the puddings as the portions are quite big, but then they are under the heading Giant Desserts. Like I say, bitterly disappointed and will be a while before I visit again
