Andy’s Golden Fry has become the best fish and chip shop in Johnstone by far. The prices are very good and the quality is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpfull. I always say you can spot the best chippy in a town by the lenght of its queue, and Andy’s always has a steady flow of customers.

Andy’s hasn’t been there very long but is a very welcome addition to Johnstone and it’s places to eat. It comprises a chip shop on one side and a sit in café on the other. It is decorated in red and white tiling and looks very clean and fresh. The fish suppers in Andy’s in my opinion are the best in the area (and there are quite a few around). Fish is fluffy and fresh with nice crispy batter and the chips are perfect. They also do a great range of fantastic oven baked pizzas. If you phone ahead they will have one ready and waiting for you to pick up. Prices are reasonable, especially in the sit-​in which doesn’t cost much more than the takeaway. Highly recommended for the perfect fish supper!
