The Sir Douglas Haig is a very nice pub just beside a main road. It is split into two rooms by a partition. The building is typicial pub, the staff are really friendly and helpful. The Douglas haig has become the infamous last stop (well, curry does’t count) on the Bookham pub crawl (the BPC —
) .
In 2008 the haig hosted the comedy most successfully and I saw another side to this gorgeous little country pub which has a huge front garden. It is the adapability of the space that makes this place so good. It must be a really lovely quiet little pub for most of the year and then… bang BPC time!
