The atmosphere in this pub is great, they have an open fire and leather setees that you sink in. During the weekdays the menu is quite limited and depends on what stock the kitchen has but the food is cheap and cheerful. The only thing being is that they only have one member of staff on during the day so you can queue for a while and they is quite a wait on food. They have an outside smoking area which has table and chairs. I believe there is new owners for this pub last week so the food situation may hopefully improve. I am told to avoid on Friday and Saturday nights as it does tend to get packed but have not been in there myself. They also had live music on a sunday afternoon during the summer months but I am not sure if it has finished now.
