This place is so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys and if you join ed’s club there are discounts to be had on an almost weekly basis. this is a little taste of home in liverpool. The Vegan burgers are absolutely amazing. Its the only place i know of where you can get a good root beer too. This is perfect and heaven. The staff are amazing and always helpful and friendly, They will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They really understand customer service here and take it very seriously.

Full disclosure: I’m an American. It’s hard not to compare this place to similar joints in the US, especially chains like Red Robin or Johnny Rocket’s. I am a big fan of the former, and think Ed’s is more akin to the latter. The décor is pretty spot on. They even have the tabletop juke boxes. The menu offers typical 50s diner food, but the prices are definitely higher than you’d expect to find in the States(I guess there’s not too much competition in Lpool right now). I had the«Original» crispy chicken sandwich. It tasted great, but the chicken patty itself was on the small side. And no fries or other sides are included, so that was an extra £3. The fries are definitely British chips, not the same as American french fries. My friend had a large pulled pork burger. He said it was delicious and too large to finish. Prices too high(though that’s common among most UK high street restaurants) and the service is British style, not American. I have no plans to return unless I’m jonesing for a hot bowl of chilli.

The all American breakfast has been the my breakfast the last three mornings in Liverpool. As a northern Irish boy this made me forget that you can’t get soda and potato bread. Burgers where great as well

Ed’s Easy Diner is one of the many choices for food in central Liverpool. I decided to come here because they recently have launched a gluten free menu and have been approved by coeliac UK. The staff were quite nice and we chatted about the grand national, they did get a little buggy though asking me to get the results up while I was trying to eat hence my food was going cold, which was a little dissapointing. I ordered a Chicken Bacon BLT. The chicken was actually quite nice and it was made even better by the cheese however I would of prefered it if it was just a chicken meal as everything else wasn’t that great. The chips were okay but nothing special, I have had much better even for gluten free. The layout is like a tradional american diner, with of course music you would expect from a place like this. You wouldn’t expect to see a place like this in Liverpool in all honesty and I feel it deserves 2 stars because: The staff began to pester me It is a little pricey with Iced Tea costing around £2.40 just for a lipton one With the store being narrow and long, the till gets in the way and you don’t have a good amount of room The food was satisfactory/good however it wasn’t something to shout about, with some of it being poor. The wifi was a disgrace, it didn’t even work which resulted in me having to connected to next stores Wifi to watch the grand national while I waited for my food. Just a tip, if you need wifi, connect to CEX it is next store and actually works unlike Ed’s wifi! I would probably visit Ed’s again but it wouldn’t be my first choice of places to visit.

It creates a nice diner atmosphere, unfortunately that’s the end of the positives. It’s pretty overpriced, the food doesn’t live up to expectation and isn’t really all that great. I’m American and my boyfriend is from Liverpool, he’s been dying to try this place and we both were sorely disappointed. In all honesty, Burger King is better and this is coming from someone who doesn’t really like the fast food burger places. We got the big bubba’s bacon and cheese burger and bacon and cheese fries. They at least used a cheese whiz like substance for the cheese fries.
