Jade View is your average traditional English and Chinese takeaway. Plus points are: service is efficent, prices are low, the place always looks squeaky clean, the staff are friendly enough etc… Although, there’s no real charm to this take-out. It’s definitely not my favourite. The food was fairly average, nothing special to write home about. Prices are reasonable. No cuisine I’ve tried from here makes me go ‘wow,’ but this is a decent takeaway if you want a quick meal.

Like Milly’s, Jade View is another of business peculiarly placed on the Red Lion Shopping Centre but unlike Milly’s, Jade View isn’t really very good. Jade View offers the usual selection of Chinese and English takeaway, which means a fairly large selection of Chinese dishes(to be fair to them) as well as chippy regulars such as sausages, fish and pies. Their chips are pretty soggy, damp squibs that taste pretty bland without lashings of salt and vinegar and they’re usually too limp or too crispy(one or the other). Their Chinese dishes are an improvement, but even that doesn’t save them from a particularly low rating for me. The food there isn’t particularly cheap either, especially considering it’s not of a reasonably high standard. I have found in the past that their food doesn’t really taste better after you had a few pints either, which is never a good sign because almost anything tastes decent when you’re drunk or on the way to being.
