Out of all the businesses located on the Red Lion Shopping Centre that I have reviewed, I think Lal Qila has got to be the one with the worst location of them all. Sat in between a couple of garages, Lal Qila certainly doesn’t exactly fit in with its surroundings, and that’s ignoring the fact it faces out onto Maghull’s not-exactly-picturesque Northway bypass. Once inside, the lovely décor and setting of the restaurant makes up for the lack of a view outside and when looking out of the window, but for me its location is quite a problem. Despite this, the food in Lal Qila is made to a reassuringly excellent standard, as they offer the usual selection of delicious Indian dishes that can be made to your specifications, whether you prefer them milder than baby food or hotter than the sun. The staff there are friendly and attentive, offering good advice and recommendations whilst ensuring you have a pleasurable dining experience. It’s a shame about its bizarre location but if you can ignore that then Lal Qila is a good place to go for a lovely Indian meal.
