Zara Home whose appropriate next door neighbour is Zara, appears quite camouflaged as its outer colours blend in with Zara, so most of the time I walk past this without realising. I kick myself for not noticing because this neat little home ware shop offers a whole load of items, which are ideal to make your home look pretty and shiny. Amongst their terrific variety of products, they sell everything from crockery, linen to furniture and beds. You wouldn’t think for a small shop like this, that they offer such a decent selection. Whilst prices are moderate, most items appear to be of decent quality. I wouldn’t be too surprised if this store attracts many housewives and mothers. This store is perfect for transforming your home, such as making your mantle piece look ten times more fabulous!

I love Zara Home. My friend got me a Lady GaGa-esque teacup from here for my birthday, which I now drink gin and tonic out of before an evening out. Prices are inexpensive and you can get some really nice bed linen from here, as well we deliciously squishy cushions, candles, towels and other lovely homeware goodies. The childrens section is also absolutely divine. It has rows of cutesey duvets, cushions, and animal themed play-stuffs as well as some more essentials like a cot. So in the homeware pecking order, Zara is without doubt some competiton for nearby Habitat.

Zara home exists as a compliment to the sucessful clothing, shoe and accessory shop placed next door. Offering a noticeably distinct line of home furnishings similar to the stylistic traits of the clothes next door. Certain lines can be considered a bit pricey such as £70 for a bed linen set, but that is the highest end of the Zara home pricing. The range seems modern and appealing, similar in design to Habitat. Zara home would clearly interest fans of Zara’s clothing line as the transgression from dressing your self in the left hand shop and dressing your house in the right hand shop appear seemless.

I must have walked past this store dozens of time before realising it was a Zara Home and strolling inside! I’m glad the penny finally dropped as it’s a light and airy store with a great layout, friendly staff and lots of fabulous Spanish homeware. There’s plain white lamps, linens, bedding, towels, tablecloths and homeware for minimalists and shades of cream, magnolia and earthy colours for traditionalists. The things that grabbed my attention however, were the bright floral, polka dot, striped and patterned cushions, quilt covers, blankets, bedspreads and rugs. If money was no option, I’d have scooped up handfuls of these and used them to transform my abode into a Pedro Almodovar set!
