Our flight from ZRH-​LHR was cancelled due to the French air strikes so we were rerouted to ZRH-​LCY. Normally this would be actually favourable as LCY is a closer airport for me however I was flying long haul later in day from LHR-​SEA.
I had two large check in bags with me and my previous plans was to have the bags route directly from ZRH-​SEA however because of the flight cancellation I now had to lug my bags from across Central London from LCY-​LHR. We were going into Central for anyway for errands but I didn’t expect to lug the bags.
As I was leaving for the DLR I saw the Airportr stand where they actually lug the bags for you. They take them to your hotel, another airport or wherever specified. Prices are aren’t that cheap but you’re paying for the convenience here. To haul two bags from LCY-​LHR it was £25 for the initial bag and £5 for the next bag.
Staff were friendly and most importantly on time. They quoted they would have the bag at LHR in maximum 5 hours time but would be earlier. I got a call and text saying my bags were ready for pick up in 3 hours time. Perfect timing and the porter was there waiting for me at the agreed spot at LHR.
It was pretty easy though their signup/​POS system could be a bit quicker and they have real time GPS tracking to give me comfort where the bags are.
I’d definitely do this again if I had large bags j needed to haul across town and had errands to do or mtgs to attend.
