The food is warm, made to order, and definitely comforting. There is an excellent, calm ambience with old American jazz and blues numbers, and excellent lighting. The staff is inviting and humorous. Definitely a good stop if you’re in the area. The bathrooms were a bit of a mess. We had the chicken chorizo and the mushroom Wellington.

This beautiful little gem is tucked in between in a residential area close to ravenscourt park and lucky for me, my house! The interior was dark wood with a lovely fireplace and lots of tables, its a full bar with good selection of wines. It is a true locals pub and I felt jealous that I didnt seem to know everyone like other people there that evening. We had the cheeseboard which was really really nice and had food envy of other peoples food that kept going by. I cant wait to go back and try just about everything on the menu.

I have been to The Andover Arms 3 times now and each time was more enjoyable than the last. Having gone with a small group in all 3 occasions, I have sampled a few different items on the menu and nothing has disappointed. My personal favorite is the fish and chips. Standard English pub food, but at Andover Arms the quality and quantity is exceptional. What makes this pub special is the staff. There is one waitress/hostess, who is attentive, helpful, and truly makes you feel welcome, that I really need to get the name of. 5* for the staff, 5* for the food, and the atmosphere of the place is quite nice as well. Not a place that you need to dress up for, but far from being a dive pub. Andover Arms is definitely worth the trip out to Hammersmith and continues to be my favorite place to eat in London.

This pub is an absolute gem! We were looking for somewhere local to go, and decided to give Andover Arms a try for a Saturday night meal. The pub was surprisingly crowded, so I would highly recommend booking a table. I ordered the chicken and chorizo pie, which was absolutely massive. Our friends ordered the lamb shank which was even bigger! I was almost taken aback by the portion size(that says a lot coming from an American!) My boyfriend ordered the steak, which was unfortunately surprisingly small. However we were all satisifed with the food. It was hearty, savoury, and hot! The Andover Arms is cosy and has tons of charm. Honestly it’s perfect for any sort of get together. There were couples on dates, families with their dogs, and groups of friends. I’ll certainly be back!

Big Sunday set for all of us including my husband. But the special drink Bloody Margret has quite strong taste, wouldn’t recommend to anyone who haven’t try tomato drinking before.

Sunday roast was delicious. Such large portions and we finished it all. The Fuller’s Honey Dew lager was yummy too.

I really enjoyed Andover Arms. Wonderful neighborhood feel, warm and inviting. We went for Sunday Roast. Which was fantastic! The chicken and the roast beef were delicious. I had the fish and chips, that remained crunchy throughout the dinner. They also have amazing desserts.

YES — everything you wish for in a restaurant. Approximately one year after my last visit, I had to introduce my girlfriend and her parents to this place. The food is great. My mother-in-law and her boyfriend had the traditional Sunday roast, and were very pleased with the meat, the perfectly cooked vegetables and the potatoes which were boiled AND fried(?). My girlfriend was blown away by the incredible vegan nut-roast, and I had the chicken which was really juicy. All portions were large, and the desserts(bread&butter pudding and crumble pie with berries) were so good we had to finish them even though we were way past full. This place is so much more than good(GREAT) food. The service is impeccable, with friendly and down-to-earth waitresses. There was a pub quiz starting conveniently after our meal, and when we were struggling with the local questions, the whole staff took turns in helping us out. Everyone seems to be laid back at this place, and even though the locals let their dogs roam the restaurant freely, you’ll never hear barking or growling. They have a fireplace, and stools by the bar if you just want to stop by for a pint(?). All in all: thank you! I will be back for more great experiences :)

Masses of Meat. Perfectly crunchy vegetables. A big pillowy Yorkshire pud with a hole in it to pour rivers of umami gravy. Sunday Lunch at the Andover arms. Eaten next to a roaring wood fire, served by chirpy locals, Honeydew on tap. I don’t think it gets much better. If you order the lamb or chicken it comes Flintstone stylee and you may get a little embarrassed by the size of the thing. The Pork Belly and the beef are every bit as filling but you don’t look like such a guzzler because it’s off the bone and a bit more manageable on the plate. This is the best Sunday roast by far, served in the loveliest pub in an area full of lovely pubs who serve great Sunday roasts. One drawback. You need to book. Tables are reserved throughout the day. This isn’t one of those gastro pub that’s completely forgotten its roots. It’s a proper pub where you can have a proper drink and a proper sunday roast. Enjoy.

It is a short walk from the Hammersmith tube station. Once we walked in, the bartender greeted us and made us feel welcome even though the place was busy. We had a table quickly and the staff was very attentive. My wife and I thought it was the best food we had during our visit. It’s away from the normal tourist spots so it gives you a real feel of how the British relax but they don’t make you feel like a tourist either.

found this place on TripAdvisor and was very pleased! cute and cozy pub, good food, and superb service. i ordered the steak and Guiness pie, with creamy mash, veggies and gravy, and a glass of wine. overall, a delicious meal, but the gravy was exceptional. one of the servers sat down to chat with my friend and me for a bit and recommended some restaurants and things to see in the neighborhood we were staying in, all of which ended up also being great finds. it’s a bit of a walk from the tube, but definitely worth it!

I don’t know what the positive reviews are about either here on Unilocal or tripadvisor. Place was a run of the mill, old pub. Service was pretty good which is why I gave 2 stars, but food was nothing special. The seat cushions should be replaced and there were moths or something flying around that were distracting. Chocolate cake dessert tasted like it came from a microwave.

My wife and I were staying near this pub while on honeymoon. After trying to find a pub that didn’t seem like it was built to draw in tourists, we were delighted to find Andover Arms. The food was extremely good, the beer was of course amazing, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We walked into it by chance once night, but returned about a couple more times while we were in London. Easily the best pub we visited.

Love the Andover, whenever I head back home to London we always get dinner here at least one night! From the excellent Lamb Shoulder to their Fish & Chips the food and service here is always spot on. They have a great wine list too. As it’s tucked away in Brackenbury Village it’s a real locals place and feels very homely inside. Keep up the good work!

Excellent food including some fish/seafood specials, Fuller’s Ales(Pride, Chiswick, etc.) and a wood-burning hearth. With super-friendly service, the Andover is one of our local favourites. Very cozy without being claustrophobic — i.e. it’s warm and welcoming but not small and cramped.

We like this one as it is a real traditional local’s pub tucked away in a really quiet side street between Shepherd’s Bush and Hammersmith. Really good ale and the food is traditional and Fuller’s haven’t been tempted to give wither the pub or the food a gastroisation. If you like a pub to be a local’s pub and not all stainless steel and flash them this is the ideal place for you. I would thoroughly recommend this place and suggest it is one of the few that is worth the walk to search it out. It does nothing flash and is just a good honest boozer offering a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
