In London for a couple of days and needed a haircut (on Sunday — the day many salons are inexplicably closed). Found antherton via Unilocal — got hooked up with Nick who gave me an excellent haircut and enjoyable conversation. Highly recommend.

This is a full service salon/​spa, but I come here to get my hair treatments.
In the past I have always been a hair salon whore, unable to stay loyal to any one establishment or one hairdresser. But Atherton Cox has broken me. The staff all really know their stuff. They’ve been around the block. They have a magic style of selling you the next best thing (I had the keratin hair straightening treatment done) without making you feel like you’ve been ‘sold’, and notwithstanding the tough times of the market, this place is always full.
Can be eye-​wateringly expensive but still I always go back for more. They make me feel that good about myself!
