The staff here are really friendly and I often get an amazing deal on the price here. The food is very similar to many of the places on Brick Lane but it is definitely one of the better restaurants. Also because it’s further down at the quieter aldgate east end the atmosphere is relaxed and the service is attentive. The Madras is really good.

Went early one evening. It was quiet, the service was good and the food arrived quickly. I thought it was quite good value.

If you want a traditional Indian look restaurant, then this one isn’t what you’re after. Bengal Cuisine’s atmosphere is more modern and up-market than many of the other restaurants along the street. There is a lot of natural light from the large windows and a private(ish) section behind pillar. The food is good quality and VERY good value as I use a 50% off deal from Top Table

Bengal Cuisine was a nice little traditional Thai restaraunt. The staff was friendly, but be careful if you’re a tourist, they tried to overcharge me £4 on my Strongbow. Other than that I recommend checking it out.

Must be something about us L.A. guys but I also found this place while wandering around Brick Lane. I actually had plans to go to a French restaurant at the Spitafield market area but couldn’t find it and was wandering around Brick Lane when I spotted the specials posted outside. After being seated, I tried to order the special but was told it was for lunch only(even though no time was specified on the poster). As it was a slow Monday night, the owner agreed to give me the special(3 courses plus half a pint of beer). Had a very nice appetizer of lamb somosas followed by a decent(but not spicy enough for me) chicken curry with biryani. Not sure if that counted as 3 courses in my book but for the price I was happy and full. Tons of restaurants on the street so don’t be afraid to make a deal with one of the guys if it’s a slow night.

Stopped by after a morning of wandering around London aimlessly and had a great meal! I went for one of their lunch specials, which at that time was an excellent value for my American dollar. Had the chicken curry along with some onion pancakes and left a very satisfied customer. One of the best meals I enjoyed in London!

With all the competition in Brick Lane one tends to be more choosy. Still I really liked this place. All was nice and my Prawn Dhansak well above average. Also the service was quiet good and pleasant. (Just to mention it, my wife didnt like it there, even though we mostly judge food in the same way.) Just try yourself.
