Absolutely superb service and the barman knows his gin! Service is spectacular and quality of cocktails matches. One of my hidden favorite Bars in London.

We stayed at the Baglioni Hotel in London and this restaurant was on the lobby floor. The view from the window is very nice since it overlooks Kensington Gardens. Having booked through Amex FRH we had a meal voucher at the restaurant included with our stay that had a three course set menu. It provided 3 courses and one dessert so i will start with the appetiser which was a carpaccio and it was very good lots of arugula and parmesan which made it taste fantastic. Then i had the tortellini pasta with tomato sauce which was also very good. My third course was a grilled squid which was so good, the texture was perfect and it had a grill with sea salt flavour to it that was phenomenal. The desert was tiramisu which was also great. During our stay we had breakfast at the Brunello lounge and i have to say it was also very good, the staff was very pleasing and working as hard as they could to keep us happy. Even if you are not staying at the Baglioni go try this authentic Italian restaurant, its worth it.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, the dimly-lit Brunello oozes a sense of elegance and luxury with it’s extravagantly designed interiors. The plush chairs beckon to you and as you sit down you already know you’re in for a treat. I love that you can order Brunello by the glass here, although the house one is a 2005 so needs a few more years to mature, but nonetheless decent. My partner and I just jumped into mains. He ordered the truffle risotto special, and even though he’s not normally a fan of risotto he was definitely pleased and maybe a new found convert. I on the other hand ordered the fillet steak with a side of french beans. French beans were a bit lack luster but the fillet was cooked perfectly, very flavorful and tender. Service and food were exceptional. It’s definitely a bit pricy, but in surroundings like this, how could you not overindulge?

Located on the ground floor of the Baglioni Hotel, this stunning restaurant overlooks Kensington Gardens. The set lunch menu, served from 12 noon until 3.00pm, is a real bargain at £24 for three courses. We started with baked eggplant in a hearty marinara sauce and a generous portion of crab and avocado salad. For our main courses we had cheese and spinach ravioli in a sage-infused butter sauce and a perfectly cooked ribeye steak served with chips and a side salad. We finished with tirimisu and a chocolate tart. Every morsel was delectable and the service was impeccable. While there’s no official dress code, you’ll probably feel less conspicuous in this elegant décor if you’re not wearing jeans and trainers. We glanced at the a la carte menu for future reference and discovered most entrees alone are priced the same as or more than the three-course lunch, so we probably would stick with the prix fixe menu if we were to return.

I had heard a lot of the Baglioni Hotel in London near High Street Kensington and as we were having dinner near by we decided to have a drink at the bar of the hotel. The design is really nice, it feels opulent contemporary Italian with dark brown floors, glass effects, superb materials(from the curtains to the tables and the bar itself) and revisited classic pendant lights. Not quite my style but warm and very well done. The atmosphere(it was c. 8pm on a Friday evening) was not quite buzzing, a mix of hotel guests and wealthy guests, from middle East or from the local neighbourhood. There were a couple of dates going on and frankly it is not a bad place for a quiet evening in a nice surrounding, with good service. I can’t comment on the food but my cocktail was good. I might give it another try for a business drink but not really a destination bar or restaurant in my view. Apart from the elaborate design, disappointing atmosphere.

*Chic.* This place oozes elegance. A decadent and dark colour palette, sleek black leather sofas, sophisticated lighting, handsome fixtures. There’s something very alluring about the Brunello’s classy and extravagant atmosphere… it’s the sort of cocktail lounge you feel you’d run into James Bond enjoying a solo drink. Other than the would-be 007, however, I really don’t know who comes here… or who’s supposed to come here, since it was virtually empty on the Saturday night I met up with a couple of friends at the bar(one had stayed at the Baglioni a while ago, and wanted us to see this stunning place, which was the only reason we knew about it). Usually a lack of people can uncomfortably drain a place of any mood — but the ambiance seemed impervious… and fortunately, a few more people did trickle in as the night wore on… Our bartender couldn’t have been more lovely… engaging, helpful, full of wit… it was a delight to order my G&T from him… Plus, the drinks here were what I call, extra-strong… not just a double… a *generous* double(together with a wink from the bartender as he poured) — sip slowly. Another really nice flourish were the sumptuous complimentary morsels. A little bowl of *fantastic* olives — massive, opulent, distinctive(could there have been a hint of anise? I’m willing to go back just to find out…) — and another dish of delicious smoked almonds. These weren’t banal«bar snacks,» they were epicurean delights. And as if the olives and almonds weren’t enough… a smartly dressed waiter came around with a linen-lined tray of buttery pastry canapés… I think with cheese and sun dried tomato or pesto — marvelous. The Brunello Lounge at the Baglioni doesn’t seem to be on most Londoners’ radar, but it’s a fantastically plush place for an intimate drink… I *will* be back.

What credit crunch? The Brunello Lounge — in the Baglioni Hotel — oozes pure swanky luxe. Velvet and chandeliers abound. Men in suits whisper conspiratorially over dry martinis and others sit back, deep in their soft chairs, watching the door. I haven’t eaten at the restaurant, which has been recently renovated to create a more laid-back and presumably affordable vibe(someone got the hint), but the bar here is the epicenter of the room. It’s a gorgeous place to enjoy a fine drink. Only one though — if I remember correctly, my martini was £18.

I went to the restaurant as there was an online offer for 50% off food excluding VAT and service charge. The place had a revamp recently with new look, new menu and new chef. It was a good experiece with excellent service and great atmosphere! The food was good but mediocre. If not for the discount, I would be quite upset with the bill. It was really expensive. The bill came up to about £40 per person even after the 50% off. The wine was terribly over-priced! I would probably go bakc again if the offer is still on but otherwise it is way too dear a place for such average food.
