Hyde Perk Bistro

Pequeño restaurante escondido en uno de los rincones de Kensington Gardens y Hyde Park. Para estar situado en esta zona residencial tan elegante, tiene unos precios bastante adecuados. Almorzamos allí de casualidad buscando un lugar donde descansar un poco las piernas de tanto caminar. El ambiente es muy íntimo, agradable y tranquilo. Nos atendieron con mucha amabilidad. Comimos un plato del día, que resultó ser un risotto de espárragos delicioso, y también un plato de pollo con una crema de champiñones y papas rostizadas. Excelentes ambos platos. Las bebidas también económicas, y de hecho tenían unos menú de almuerzo más económicos con panini, postre y bebida.
Absolutamente recomendable.

While on a recent trip to London we toured Kensington Palace and while making our way to the Albert Memorial we looked for a place to stop for lunch.
Walking East on Kensington Road on the south side of Hyde Park, we spied a little French bistro just south on Palace Gate /​Gloucester Road.

It was a rare beautiful day in London so we sat outside.
The waitress, Caterina, was attentive, helpful and quite pleasant.
To start with, the bread and dipping sauce she brought to the table was excellent.
We ordered a steak with hollandaise and chips and a chicken, avocado, goat cheese salad.
The steak was done perfectly medium rare and was flavorful and tender.
The chips were crispy and salted just right.
The salad was delicious as well. The chicken was tender and appropriately spiced and appeared to have been just sautéd fresh rather than sitting in a bin waiting to be added to the dish.
Had we not looked across Kensington Road, we would have missed this little gem.
A wonderful, relaxing lunch in a nice little French bistro.
